Wedding makeup and hair
Christine was the tonic I needed when getting ready. She was calm and very organised. Her husband helped set up, he was also calming and positive. We chatted lots and Christine explained every step. I was not used to lots of make up and was quite nervous. By the end I felt amazing! The hair was perfect. Everyone said how amazing i looked, it was the best I've ever felt. Thank you Christine x -

Christine is a lovely lady and gave some great beauty skin care advice and tips before my wedding day. She also gave me a bag with a touch up kit, free lipstick and facial scrub.
However on the day of my wedding we had a very tight schedule for my 11.30 ceremony at my local church. I created a schedule and I asked Christine how long she would need to do my makeup on the day and she replied 1 hour 30 minutes. I had my hair started at 6am until 7.30 and all was running to plan. Christine was scheduled to do my makeup 8-9.30am. She arrived at 7.30 to set up and I was in the seat with her by 7.45ish when she started. All seemed to be going well, but then it got to 9.30 and she hadn’t finished my makeup, the hairdresser needed to finish my hair off as per the schedule so Christine said she would finish my makeup quickly after this.
I then sat back with Christine around 10am ish. She then took another 20 minutes and at this point I was getting very stressed, because on my schedule I was meant to be getting in my dress between 10-10.15, to then have first reveal photos and video with my dad, as well as photos of me in my dress in the garden, with the wedding car and photos at home with my bridesmaids and family. I said to Christine that I needed to be getting into my dress now and that I don’t have time and makeup needs to be finished. Christine replied you have lots of time don’t worry. But I didn’t as my photographer and videographer needed to leave for the church at 10.45.
She then quickly finished because I was panicking. I went and looked in the mirror upstairs and saw that my eyeliner wasn’t even and looked a mess, I got my own makeup out and had to correct this myself. By this time it was 10.30ish, my bridesmaids helped me into my dress and then I was able to get the first reveal photos and video with my dad and mum. But that was it.
The photographer and videographer then had to go to the church. Because Christine did not run to time on the day, this then caused me to have key photos missed which I was really upset about, as well as causing me a lot more stress.
I am not sharing a photo because I was the one who had to correct my eyeliner and finish my makeup, so it would not be a finished work by Christine. -

Beautiful make-up that lasted all day and throughout the evening despite humid conditions
Christine does a great job including bespoking the make up to suit the occasion. Mine looked youthful and fresh. She also had to challenge of covering a fresh bruise. Do allow plenty if time though, shes very thorough. I was very happy with the outcome and shes very flexible. -

5 star service!
I booked Christine through Hitched for my mam, who was attending her partner’s son’s wedding in Gloucester.
From the very beginning Christine was fantastic; regular contact & questions to find out what my mam’s requirements were for both her hair & make up. She asked about the wedding colour scheme, my mam’s outfit, type of make up, what hair style she was wanting etc. Very thorough!
On the actual day of the wedding Christine arrived early to set up & immediately put my mam at ease (this was all new to her at 69 so she was quite nervous about it all!) both my mam & her partner commented on how amazing Christine was, how friendly she was & how they all had a good giggle whilst getting ready. (I think the photo of her done up shows how happy she was!)
My mam has quite thin, short hair & often hairstyles don’t stay in her hair very well. She rang me the day after the wedding delighted that her hair was still in the style that Christine had done for her! She was very happy with her subtle make up (& the freebie lipstick & lipgloss too!) which stayed immaculate all through a hot day & night.
I asked my mam for a comment to sum up her experience with Christine and she said “absolutely brilliant, give her 5 stars from me”. -

I absolutely loved the make up Christina done for me for my wedding day! She done exactly what I asked for and knew all the perfect shades for me and my bridesmaids. Lovely woman, so wholesome and made me feel very relaxed. She definitely went above and beyond to help me on my special day. I am very pleased with everything she has done for me and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a make up artist for their wedding day.
