I would highly recommend Charlie for hair and make up. I was looking for someone who could do natural looking make up so I would still look like me on my wedding day. Charlie was great from start to finish, my hair and make up trial was fun despite me being someone who doesn’t typically get my hair or make up done, and I left very confident that I’d look how I wanted to on the day.
On the wedding day she was very relaxed and everything ran on time, Charlie even helped get my dress done up while I was panicking the corset wasn’t tight enough! My hair and make up looked amazing and I had someone request Charlie’s details before the wedding had even finished! -

Charlie is the most wonderful hair and make-up artist; she made me feel so comfortable during both my trial session and wedding day. She has an incredible talent and a wealth of experience, but always ensures that she listens to your wishes and creates a look that feels right for you. This was something that was super important to me personally, as I don't normally wear make-up, so I really wanted to have a natural look that made me feel confident and comfortable when getting married. Charlie was brilliant in making this happen - we exchanged a few messages before my trial session about the look I envisioned for myself, which helped to ease my nerves as she clearly took this into consideration and made sure that I felt comfortable throughout the trial. Our wedding was inspired by the Lord of the Rings (so not particularly traditional by any means!), and I'm so lucky to have found Charlie - her experience in the film/TV/theatre industry was so helpful as I knew she would understand the kind of fantasy look I was going for!
Charlie was such a calming presence during the morning of our wedding day, and I am so, so grateful for all her hard work and kindness she showed to me and my friends and family. My hair looked absolutely stunning and stayed in all day - she created beautiful curls and intricate plaits out of my extremely straight hair (which normally never keeps curls properly, so I was seriously impressed!). Charlie beautifully arranged dried flowers into my hair and this really completed the look. I was also extremely happy with my make-up too - it was just what I wanted but at the same time it totally surpassed my expectations.
I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up and was so pleased that both stayed in place all day - despite lots of dancing and a few (very happy!) tears! Thank you, Charlie, for helping make me feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed on the best day of my life. :) -

Charlie made me feel so comfortable and reassured from the first messages, throughout the whole trial and especially on the day itself. She listened carefully to what I wanted and was very patient with me being such a self-conscious person. I was beyond happy with the natural make-up look and curled and styled locks that worked perfectly with the veil and accessories I already had. On top of all that, Charlie is just the loveliest person. I can't recommend her highly enough! -

Best decision I made, was to book Charlie
I needed someone to do both hair and makeup for a red carpet event. I needed someone close to home and only 4 weeks before the event, so time was running out. I contacted several people using hitched and Charlie was the 1st to reply. This wasn't the reason I chose her though! She came across as warm and friendly and was not only available but ticked all my boxes. I was very nervous but she put me at ease straight away and soon we were laughing and joking. She was very flexible with the time/day and made herself available for a 5.45am start on a Sunday. I had a trial before the main day and she listened to what I wanted, advised what might work or not and together we came to an agreement of what to do. She has every product you could possibly imagine and she takes care to ensure that hygiene remains the top priority. Charlie will come to your house/venue, as well as allowing you into her own home depending on what suits you, which takes all the hassle out of it. She did an exceptional job and my hair and makeup lasted all day long and looked just as good 10hrs later as it did when I left her home. I would highley recommend Charlie to anyone looking for a hair and makeup artist. I wish I could have her on standby for all my makeup needs. Charlie offers excellent value for money, requiring half of the full cost upfront to secure your booking. If you want to look amazing on your wedding day or for a special event then Charlie is the lady for you! -

Wedding hair and make up
I cannot recommend Charlie highly enough for wedding hair and makeup. From the moment we started, she was calm, professional, and incredibly kind, exactly the energy I needed on such an important day. She truly listened to what I wanted and made me feel like the best version of myself, while still looking and feeling me.
My hair and makeup were flawless and held up beautifully all day and night, through happy tears, hugs, and hours of celebrating. I felt confident, comfortable, and so beautiful, which is something every bride deserves to feel on her wedding day.
Beyond her talent, Charlie was an absolute joy to be around. She helped make the morning relaxed and special, and I’m so grateful I chose her. If you’re looking for someone skilled, reliable, and genuinely wonderful, look no further, I would book her again in a heartbeat -

Charlie was so wonderful! I was a bit nervous about the whole make up and hair thing but Charlie made me feel totally at ease. She listened so carefully and worked with me to create a look that made me feel just so beautiful but also completely myself. She was so kind and patient with me and was just the presence that I needed the morning of my wedding especially after only sleeping for less than an hour and feeling a bit overwhelmed and nervous! Charlie stayed right up until the moment I left for the venue and helped with extra details such as my necklace. No detail was too small. Thanks so much Charlie! I'm so grateful! -

I simply cannot thank Charlie enough for making me feel and look so beautiful on my wedding day. Charlie’s calm and caring approach meant I felt relaxed and comfortable in her hands from the start. She listened to exactly what I wanted and created an elegant and understated look that still felt like ‘me’. Not only did she create a stunning hair style and flawless make up, but she was also happy to help me into my wedding dress and help me with last minute finishing touches. A truly professional and incredibly special wedding hair and make up artist whom I cannot recommend highly enough. -
