Rachel is such a lovely person, I have been comfortable the whole time when she was doing my makeup. She have done a good job. She really did my makeup to a high standard. Definitely will recommend.

From start to finish our interaction was very smooth and efficient: we exchanged ideas, discussed the style and Rachel took time to make sure we are on the same page before we started. Rachel was utterly exceptional from start to finish. She was a reassuring, calm presence on my wedding day and listened to what me and each of my bridesmaids wanted. I absolutely loved my makeup, as did my mum and my bridesmaids (one commented that she looked better than she did on her own wedding day)! I would absolutely recommend hiring Rachel.

Rachel was recommended by our wedding venue The Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey . She’s a professional make up artist who works in TV as well as weddings . From initial telephone contact to her work on the day everything was just so friendly and the end result just superb . She travelled to the venue and took 3 hours to do my make up and hair for my big day . Nothing was left to chance and the multiple trolleys of make up and equipment she wheeled into our suite left me in no doubt that whatever was needed was available . Her professionalism shone through , as she created a look that went with the ambience of the wedding and styled my hair to compliment that . Her timing was impeccable, and everything was completed to my schedule . She even had time to “ improve “ the grooms happy go lucky approach to his own hair .
On top of all that she’s also a really nice person , which is very important as you don’t need any stress on your wedding day . I’d recommend Rachel 110% to anyone looking for someone to make their day special !

I cannot praise this lady enough, her professionalism, her ability, her knowledge outstanding. She arrived on time, was so helpful and instantly made me feel at ease. She did exactly what I asked for, only better!! Kinda wish I was getting married again, as I'd book her in a heartbeat.

From start to finish, Rachel was absolutely brilliant. She was always quick to respond, and was incredibly accommodating when we had to postpone due to covid. On my trial day she was so friendly and relaxed that it really helped calm down my nerves - I'd had a stressful run up to the wedding and that trial day was the first time in months I was able to feel excited about things. On the wedding day itself, she helped keep the atmosphere chilled - she had her timings spot on so that we never felt rushed and we were all done in plenty of time for getting into our dresses and to the Church. Even though it was the hottest day of the year so far, the make-up lasted all day long - and the factor 50 she applied under it all meant that nobody had a lobster face either! And needless to say, she made us all look absolutely fantastic!

With so many hair and makeup artists out there, it's so difficult for a bride to choose which ones. Rachel is the complete package and can do both hair and makeup! She is so patient and considerate of what type of look I wanted and what complemented me best. Rachel is so helpful and responsive as well, texting me recommendations of the makeup she uses and giving tips on how to keep my makeup fresh daily. On your wedding day (and throughout life of course) you want to surround yourself with amazing people that you can trust and make it fun and I couldn't have been happier having Rachel O'Dell as part of our day. Rachel was the makeup artist at a friends wedding 7 years earlier when I was a bridesmaid and did such a fantastic job I didn't think twice about who to call.

I don't often wear make-up and having not long gone through chemo I was struggling to come to terms with a new shorter hairstyle. Rachel really listened, understood and made great suggestions and I can say she gave me such confidence for my hen do and my wedding day. When we first met for a coffee and a really easy-going planning session I knew instantly I had made the right choice and a friend for life.

Rachel did a pre session with me, she was really flexible fitting it around my hen do and the mayhem of a house filled with giddy hens and has such a calm nature I had such confidence that everything that followed would be amazing. Wow. I never expected to feel so beautiful only wedding day. I so glad I found Rachel and decided to spend the money - it was so worth it! I honestly felt like a princess and everyone kept telling me I looked amazing. I have honestly never felt like that in my entire life, it was such a lovely feeling. Back down to earth and domesticity with a bump! If you’re umming and aaahhhing - just do it.

I'm so glad I found and chose Rachel to do make up for me and my bridal party. Rachel created a fantastic look for me at my trial which she replicated to perfection on the big day. I don't really have a make up "style" but Rachel got my look exactly right just by asking me a few questions. Having no hair due to alopecia it was extra important to get my make up right and Rachel exceeded all my expectations. My bridesmaids all loved their looks as did the mum's and my junior bridesmaid who were made up by Rachel's fantastic colleague, Ashley.
