The best people you could ever use for your wedding day
I first approached Richard at Specular Visuals quite a while before the date of my daughters wedding date to enquire about the possibility of booking their services for my daughters wedding which was planned to be taking place in South West France the following year.
Although I had already taken the time to read all of the fairly comprehensive and informative information about this company that is provided on their website I was so impressed with the example galleries that provides an incredible amount of images and videography samples for prospective clients to look at I was so impressed with the quality of their work that I just had to ignore the fact that they usually operated within a certain radius from their base within the UK.
Essentially my enquiry about my daughters wedding in France was something that I had prepared myself for in terms of receiving a resounding negative reception and willingness to assist us with the upcoming wedding event from the company, considering that the venue was around a thousand miles outside their typical operational radius I was not going to be too surprised if my enquiry was rejected immediately. I couldn’t help myself from sending my enquiry nonetheless,
I was very pleased with the response from Specular Visuals which came directly from Richard the director and videography specialist at the company, not only did he respond extremely quickly but also Richard’s positive feedback and enthusiasm towards being able to help me with this event was incredible.
Richard’s response to my initial enquiry was genuinely focused solely upon the details around the event itself and not just about what the cost implications would be for providing their services for my daughter’s big day.
Following on from my initial enquiry and the subsequent exchange of emails between myself and Richard I handed over the subsequent communications and correspondences to be shared between my daughter and her husband to be and Richard directly which was primarily to give Richard some respite from my overly enthusiastic daily flurry of emails to him which to be very honest he handled in a very courteous and professional manner which must have been very hard for him to do taking into consideration the fact that I was not too far away from having a restraining order imposed upon me after a while 🤦♂️😂.
Anyway ill cut to the chase now and tell you that Richard and Izzy were both in France for the wedding and they were both absolutely incredible in their professionalism and their genuine dedication and enthusiasm for the wedding and everything else associated with it before during and after the big day. They blended into the crowd almost invisibly and it was hard to notice they were there for the entire day , their work is beyond belief and so much higher quality than pretty much every other supplier in this industry that I looked at ( believe me I looked at a lot).
Specular Visuals package prices are incredibly competitive compared to the @ higher end “ bespoke photography companies and when you see their finished products you will understand that they’re not only extremely competitive but realistically they are significantly cheaper than the higher end companies operating in the wedding industry because you will not find anyone else who will be able to produce such exquisite high quality photography and videography for your special day along with such an enthusiastic non profit oriented approach to your wedding day . The best thing I’ve ever done in my life was to be a bit cheeky and ask Richard about coming thousands of miles round trip outside of their operating radius 👌❤️ -

Richard and Izzy - it's difficult to put this into words, but we really did have an A* Photography and Videography duo for our Wedding Day.
From the very first enquiry to the Wedding Day itself was an absolute delight. Richard was attentive and so friendly during the preparations before the day and we really felt at ease and that our day was in the safest hands.
On the day itself, both Richard and Izzy were the friendliest faces and certainly helped to calm both of our nerves, and really blended into our bridal and groom parties, making everything feel really natural and this really shows in the pictures and the videos we have received.
We were absolutely blown away when we received our pictures and videos, and many tears of happiness were shed as we remembered our beautiful day. Every element was captured and it really gave us both the opportunity to see parts of our wedding with our guests that we didn't get to see, and this is absolutely priceless. The quality of the images and the videos is second to none, and you can really see the talent and craft in each photo and video.
Now, we can't stop watching the videos which play on repeat and are now struggling to decide which photos to get printed to put up in the house, because there are so many gorgeous ones to choose from. We have also had so many compliments from our friends and family on the quality of the photos and some of the memories these have captured, and we have loved sharing these with our loved ones.
Thank you Specular Visuals for being absolutely incredible on the day, we had so much fun and you made it feel so comfortable to be in front of a camera.

We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos from Richard and Izzy! Honestly, "fantastic" doesn't even begin to cover it. They were such a wonderful presence on the day—super professional yet completely relaxed and fun, making the whole process feel natural.
The resulting photos are genuinely way, way more than we ever expected. The quality they produce is absolutely stunning and easily rivals, if not surpasses, the work we've seen from some of the most expensive photographers out there. It’s insane value for such incredible, timeless memories. We highly recommend them! -

We couldn’t recommended Richard enough, from the start he was really responsive and lovely! We had a call a few weeks before the wedding to go through all the details which was reassuring and helped us feel at ease! On the wedding day, he was amazing, he managed to capture every special moment without it feeling too imposing. The videos are capture a real candid, romantic and true reflection of the day, that Richard has edited perfectly. We are so happy with our videos and professionalism from Richard. Thankyou so much! -

Richard and Izzy were an absolute dream team for our wedding day. Between them, the photos and video captured are absolutely gorgeous and captured the energy of the day perfectly. From beginning to end, Richard was really professional, friendly, and relaxed which was perfect for us. He talked to us lots to get to know us and our vibe, and was really responsive to messages and emails. The pricing is really fair for the incredible quality of his work, and he provided some beautiful preview pictures really quickly after our wedding day - we will treasure them forever. From the moment Richard arrived on our wedding day, he brought with him the kind of warmth, humour, and ease that every couple hopes for. He had this incredible ability to make everything feel effortless — never intrusive, never staged — just beautifully natural. In fact, there were times we forgot we were being filmed at all, which speaks volumes about how seamlessly he worked in the background, capturing every laugh, tear, and tender glance without ever making us feel on display.
When we received our wedding reel, we were completely floored. Somehow, in just a few minutes, Richard managed to distil the essence of our day — the joy, the emotion, the love — into something so moving and cinematic that it left us both in tears. It was like watching a dream version of our wedding, only it was real, and it was ours.
We are counting down the days until we see the full video, but even just from the reel, it’s clear that Richard has a rare gift. He doesn’t just document a day — he tells a story, your story, in the most thoughtful and breathtaking way.
We are endlessly grateful to him for giving us a memory we can treasure forever. If you’re lucky enough to have Richard film your wedding, you’ll understand just how special he is. We truly cannot recommend him enough.
