About
MP Films is a wedding videography company based in Falkland, Fife & Angus. Whilst the company is new to the wedding videography arena, Mark Pendlebury is no stranger to film. He got his first video camera for Christmas at around 10; fortunately (mainly for Mark and his pre-broken voice), those early videos have been lost. Making videos throughout his teens, videography was a keen hobby, joined by strong interests in photography and writing music. After studying photography and media at A-level, he spent sixteen years in the corporate world. Over time, he realised he was forcing himself into a role that didn't reflect who he truly was. Throughout that time, a balance of videography, photography and music remained a constant outlet.
The arrival of his two sons in 2022 and 2024 became a turning point. Mark felt a growing need to build a career that aligned with his passions and show his children that if you work hard, a career in a field you love is more than achievable. In late 2025, 25 years after picking up his first camera, the concept for MP Films was born.
MP Films Approach
Given the amount of time and preparation that goes into your wedding day, it's somewhat rude for the day to go by so quickly. So savouring as many moments as you can with each other and your loved ones is where your focus should lie, and it's exactly where Mark's focus will be, too. He won't interfere, he won't drag you away; when you look back at your wedding film, you can guarantee the moments you will love the most are the interactions with friends and family that you would have otherwise forgotten. Now, if you would like to sneak away to a picturesque spot, then we can absolutely do that, but for the rest of the time, he'll be in the background, capturing the organic moments you will treasure forever.
As for what it's like to work with Mark, in the early stages of research, Mark found that couples said the most important factor when choosing a videographer is whether they like the person. When sharing this information with a friend, the response, reassuringly, was "Oh, well, you'll have no trouble then". Described as likeable, warm and relaxed, Mark will glean all the information he needs prior to shooting, making sure he understands exactly what you're looking for, leaving you to enjoy your day.

Expenses
When arranging his own wedding, one of the most frustrating aspects Mark found was the hidden costs. Transparency is at the heart of Mark's offering. There will be no additional expenses outside of the below, and expenses will be fully quoted prior to the contract being signed.
Fuel
Fuel will be charged at 25p per mile. To give you a real-world example, if your wedding venue were a 50-mile round trip, the fuel expense would be £12.50.
Sustenance
It is commonplace for you to add head to your catering budget for suppliers. However, in the majority of instances, it is more cost-effective for you if Mark simply sorts himself out. As such, for a half-day wedding, an additional expense of £10.00 will be charged, and for a full-day wedding, it will be £18.00. (If accommodation/overnight stays are required, an additional £10 per night will be charged).
Accommodation
This is an absolute last resort. I have family and friends spread across most of the UK, meaning the majority of locations are accessible without the need for accommodation. In the unlikely event that accommodation is required, I will select a low-cost option within 30 minutes of the venue.
