Our Magical Wedding Day

We had our wedding at The Dower House Hotel on the 14th of March 2024. The location is picturesque and grounds are stunning. Wedding coordinators Jade and Max were fantastic. All the staff were amazing and made us feel like we were part of their family. During our planning we visited the hotel multiple times and the dishes from the menu were always exceptional. Our wedding breakfast was fabulous and the canopies were out of this world. We will definitely be coming back. Anyone looking for a wedding venue The Dower House Hotel is truly a special place. A big thank you to all the staff who made our day so wonderful. A special thank you to Diane who looked after throughout

Beautiful venue

Carolyn and her team made our wedding day feel magical. The food was incredible and the staff were so organised. The day ran like clockwork and we've had so many friends and family telling us how lovely the day was. From the beginning, Carolyn answered all of our many questions, nothing was too much. She helped us throughout the whole process and made us feel so relaxed. You won't find this attention to detail anywhere else

Professional, personable, perfect

The team at the Dower House could not have been more helpful, from the first meeting with Carolyn (their wedding planner) to discuss initial dates, through to the eventual wedding some 18 months later. We felt engaged with and in control every step of the way. Communication, mainly by email, was always efficient and engaging and nothing was ever too much trouble.
On the wedding day itself, all the staff went above and beyond, taking the time to introduce themselves to us personally and making sure we wanted for nothing.
The weather on the day was glorious (10th June) and we were able to get married outside under the folly - the most idyllic and romantic location. We loved the fact that we were exclusive, unlike some of the bigger hotels that perhaps run at least one other wedding on the same day.
The food was beautiful and plentiful and all of our guests commented on the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff from the minute they arrived to the minute they went to bed.
The following morning, all our gifts and things like left over cake, had been carefully packaged up by the staff and made us packing up much simpler than it otherwise might have been.
We have been to other weddings at larger venues, where you simply do not get this level of service or personal touch that you do at the Dower House. Just perfect.

Perfect and smooth

We had an absolutely perfect day the staff were all very attentive and friendly, everything went perfectly thanks to the wedding coordinator Carolyn and her team the venue is stunning and we were so happy, every person that attended complimented the venue on how attentive they were and how we were treated so well

Outstanding venue, staff and service

We had the most incredible experience at the Dower House Hotel and the perfect wedding day.
All of the staff genuinely cared about us and our guests and enjoyed the day alongside us, singing along with the band and chatting with guests.
I would highly recommend the venue - they were able to cater for our unique requests.
Communication was excellent and the planning was spot on all the way through.
The planner was calm, professional but also genuine and nothing was too much trouble

Perfect in Every Way!

We recently got married at The Dower and honestly could not have chosen a more perfect place to hold our special day. From the moment we went to view the hotel back in 2021 Carolyn has been really amazing, always on hand to help and answer any questions we had along the way and running around behind the scenes on the day making sure everything was as it should be! (which of course it was!) The hotel itself is stunning and the grounds are absolutely beautiful, the setting is just lovely and so peaceful. On our wedding day all the staff were so helpful and lovely and could not do enough for us or any of our guests and we got so many compliments from our guests about their rooms and how delicious the food was and the service throughout the whole of their stay. I really couldnt recommend it highly enough to be honest!! x

A special thank you to Carolyn who has been absolutely amazing from day 1, Ethan who is an asset to the Dower house for putting up with our drunken guests (bridesmaids). Professional, friendly and approachable everything you need from a place hosting your big day.
