Amazing from start to finish!
This was a dream venue from start to finish. From the first viewing we fell in love and everyone we’ve spoken to has been so helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating! Andrew, our amazing wedding coordinator was there from check in the night before the wedding to meet and greet us, to about maybe 8pm when we walked into our reception, cut our cake and had our first dance. I’d recommend this place to anyone. It’s an amazing package for an amazing price, the portions of the food during the wedding breakfast are huge and the bbq buffet on the evening was to die for. We were all kept topped up with wine during the meal and a glass of fizz for a toast. The welcome cocktails and beers are a brilliant touch. -

South causey inn staff were all very supportive, helpful and filled with positivity towards our wedding. The wedding coordinator (Stacey) massivley exceeded all expectations to make our dream day a reality. -

Andrew and I had our wedding at the South Causey Inn on the 6th of April and there are no words to express how incredible this venue is.
First and foremost we must shout out the incredible wedding team, but a special thanks goes to Andrew, our wedding coordinator. The venue was amazing, as were all of the staff but Andrew became an incredible part of our day, and everyone who met him said it would not have been the same without him. From making sure my dress was perfect and the timing to the music was spot on as I walked down the aisle, to giving the nervous groom a pep talk before the ceremony started; from making sure I was immediately hydrated with our cocktail of choice when coming out of the ceremony room, to giving my mum a lift back to her accommodation and making a pot of tea for her, nothing was too much. He also got the balance of humour perfect; he went along with our awful sense of humour without ever taking it too far. He made me, all of my family and all of my friends feel like actual life long friends and rather than just being our wedding coordinator, he genuinely became a welcome addition to our wedding day. My mother is his new number one fan.
The food, every single member of staff, from the people working on reception to the bar staff and the lady’s who provided the bridal parties with massages the night before, thank you. You made the most important day of our life absolutely perfect. We had a vegetarian wedding and the chef was happy to take on our suggestions and essentially made a new menu for us, not only without complaint, but also genuinely happy (or they seemed it at least!) to do this for us. Every single person commented on how amazing the food was and feeding a full room of meat eaters a veggie menu is no mean feat.
The amount of gratitude Andrew and I have to the south causey for making our wedding the most perfect day is endless. A wedding is one of the most important days of a couples life; the south causey inn made us feel like the only couple who had ever gotten married there and genuinely treat us like royalty.
Thank you so much. Whatever Andrew and I can do to support the incredible venue in the future, we will. -

Where do I begin?! We had booked The South Causey Inn 2 years in advance. We knew it was the perfect venue for us. Hotel/accommodation on site for our guests and we fell in love with The Old Barn. As soon as we had booked, we were always able to communicate with the venue easily. Each member of the wedding team are so helpful and friendly. Each step was made easy for us to organise and stress - free.
On the wedding day we had Dean as our wedding coordinator. He was THE best. He ensured our whole day ran smoothly; always reassured and checked in with us throughout the day. He was always calm, supportive and we had a great laugh with him.
Our guests enjoyed staying in the hotel, the food and the staff. Couldn't recommend this venue more. Thank you South Causey for making our dream day come true.

amazing wedding venue and staff!
Where do we begin?! Having looked at most venues in the north east, and none of them quite ticking every box, the South Causey was our last place to visit. I was a little apprehensive before visiting, as I know they have multiple venues and could be several weddings each day, and I wanted to be the ONLY bride, but fear not, as I will explain..
We went along to one of their wedding showcase evening and were greeted by the lovely Dean, who proceeded to show us around the entire place and answer any questions. As we walked in the Old Barn, we instantly knew it was the one. We almost got a little emotional, as we just knew this was the place we would get married. Dean was amazing, talking us through dates and packages. We booked the very next day.
Every single meeting we had, each and every staff member and wedding coordinator were amazing. They really know how to run weddings and they were there to answer my constant stream of emails and questions calls.
Fast forward to the day. Dean was our coordinator and he arrived early, going between us in our separate rooms, the venue, etc, constantly checking in with us, talking us through the plan for the day etc, putting us at ease as we knew we were in good hands. The day couldn’t not have gone any more perfect, the sun even shone right in time for our photos outside!! All the waiting staff, bar staff, drivers, were lovely, making us feel like we were the only people to ever get married there. There were other weddings that day, but I wouldn’t have known. Neither us or our guests seen any sight of another wedding. Jack and Amy were brilliant in the barn, just constantly there for us with any requests, as was Dean, helping me with my dress and veil, making sure we had a little supper box made up from the evening buffet as we were hungry at the time!
The food was outstanding.. the service..the stunning old barn. I cannot thank everyone at the South Causey enough for making our entire 3 night stay so perfect and memorable, even after the wedding was over! If you are thinking about having the South Causey as your venue, don’t hesitate, go and visit and get it booked, you will not regret it! -

Simply Incredible
South Causey Inn is quite possibly one of the best - if not, THE best - wedding venues in the North East, England.
The location, views, decor, food, drinks, and everything in-between, are amazing!
The wedding and events teams (HUGE shout out to our fantastic coordinator, Andrew), and fabulous staff are on hand from the get-go to make sure all soon-to-be married couples have quite simply, the best day of their lives. Their positive and joyful vibes, attention to detail, calm and hilarious personalities, and preparation, make planning a wedding such an enjoyable and stress-free experience!

South Causey was the perfect venue for our wedding. We loved that so much came included in the package, which made our lives so much easier in terms of planning the big day. Everyone in the team went above and beyond to make the day special and our wedding coordinator Andrew made sure everything ran smoothly and that we were both happy at all times. Old Barn Wedding
Myself and my new husband got married at the South Causey in the old barn and honestly it was absolutely out of this world, I could not have wished for a better day! Everything about the day was just perfect! Andrew who was running the day couldn’t have done a better job he just had everything going so smoothly, he is a perfectionist wishing his work, can’t thank him enough! Every single one of our guest have commented about how they will never get over the wedding, how it was so amazing and “one of the best weddings they have ever been to”
Once again thank you so much to all of the staff who worked that day yous are all amazing!
