Perfect venue!

We recently had our wedding at The South Causey Inn, and it was nothing short of perfect. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, magical, and beyond anything we could have imagined.

A huge part of what made our day so special was Stephanie, our incredible wedding coordinator. From our very first meeting, she was warm, professional, and completely dedicated to making our vision come to life. On the big day, she ensured everything ran smoothly behind the scenes so we could just relax and enjoy every moment.

The venue itself is stunning — beautifully rustic with a cozy, romantic atmosphere, gorgeous grounds, and a team that truly goes above and beyond. The food was amazing, the service exceptional, and every guest commented on how perfect everything was.

We can't recommend The South Causey Inn highly enough. If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines charm, elegance, and outstanding support, this is the place. Thank you again to Stephanie and the entire team — we will be forever grateful!

Could not fault!!

From booking the venue until our special day, we received an extremely friendly and helpful service. Meetings were always when they were due and all the team were happy to answer alllll my questions (I had a lot). Even if I thought of another they were quick to respond on email and always accommodating. On the day, we couldn’t have asked for anything to go any better and a BIG shout out to our wedding coordinator Stacey for keeping everything ticking along smoothly, from checking in while I got ready up until the night had ended. All our family and friends loved the location, the views from the old barn, THE FOOD, having everything in one place but various areas/settings to enjoy and the space was completely private. Like I say, there was not a single fault in the service, professionalism or venue!

The best day!

From the minute we visited the South Causey Inn for a wedding showcase we knew this was where we wanted to get married!

As soon as we booked we were kept informed of what we had to do and how they could help us we could not have asked for more from the wedding team and all the staff!

Without Stacey our day would not have been the day it was she kept myself and husband informed all day and had the timeline we had planned and discussed perfect! The food was amazing and all of our guests commented on the food along with how beautiful the venue was!

We would highly recommend as a venue!

I got married on the 31st July 2024 in the Durham suite and I just wanted to express how amazing it was!! The whole team went above and beyond from the moment we arrived until the very next day. My wedding coordinator Lauren was amazing right from the get go she literally kept me at ease the full day! She made sure I had water to drink to keeping me hydrated she brought me food to make sure I ate something she even put food away for us for when went back to the room honestly she is an absolute diamond!! We can’t wait to come back and we have recommended to everyone we know getting married! Thank you again from the Wilson x

best day of our lives

From start to finish they were fantastic. They walked us through the process which put our mind at ease. The organisation on the big day blew us away. We chose the platinum package and the details and value made it worth the while! We would definitely recommend the south causey Make sure Stephanie is involved she was amazing!

Amazing from start to finish!

This was a dream venue from start to finish. From the first viewing we fell in love and everyone we’ve spoken to has been so helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating! Andrew, our amazing wedding coordinator was there from check in the night before the wedding to meet and greet us, to about maybe 8pm when we walked into our reception, cut our cake and had our first dance. I’d recommend this place to anyone. It’s an amazing package for an amazing price, the portions of the food during the wedding breakfast are huge and the bbq buffet on the evening was to die for. We were all kept topped up with wine during the meal and a glass of fizz for a toast. The welcome cocktails and beers are a brilliant touch.

Myself and My Husband had our Wedding at the south Causey Inn - old Barn

from start to finish our day was absolutely perfect, the Venue, ceremony, food, entertainment and the staff i couldn't fault at all. Even though the Venue is a busy one we really felt like we were the only ones there! We had the best day of our lives everything we could wish for and More! everything ran so smoothly our wedding Co-ordinator Lauren and her Team were excellent and we cannot thank them enough, the South Causey is one of our favourite places! we will be back soon for some lovely food at the restaurant 🥰

Amazing day!

Amazing day. Lauren looked after us, she was fabulous. The food was quality. The decor was amazing and the staff were faultless. You can book your own meeting appointments making it flexible and easy.

Would highly recommend the south causey to anyone looking for a venue in the north east our day was absolutely perfect the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly the food was phenomenal the hotel rooms are amazing literally could not fault a thing

Perfect in every way

Where do I even start.. 24th Oct 24 the most perfect day for our wedding in the old barn. Stacey our wedding coordinator is just the best ❤️, Lee, the DJ, Bar staff, chefs, the rest of the team are absolutely amazing! They all made the day perfect. Made us feel so calm and relaxed as we were in such good hands, could not have asked for a better day. The venue and everything was so beautiful - and the food just wow. All our guests love it.
