The Donnelly wedding
Our Perfect Day !
We attended a wedding Fayre and my mam and I were shown around the venue by Events Co ordinator Laura. She immediately helped us visualise how our dream could be achieved. Her experience in her role was evident and this helped as she gave us suggestions on how we could maximise our celebrations. There were so many options we could choose from of where to hold our ceremony and the venue enabled us to share the whole weekend with family and friends as there was golf and other outdoor activities available as well as the spa.
I was so impressed with Laura and the beautiful venue that it was an easy decision to set a date for our wedding.
We paid a deposit then Laura was always available to answer even the simplest of questions for myself or my mam. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We met at various stages leading up to our big day and I always felt confident that Laura would resolve any issues we came across .
We provided the majority of our own decor but the venue also supplied items, such as the sweets cart and easels, as well as our Ladywell package. Laura was unable to attend the day of our wedding as it was on her non working day, so we were invited to Slaley for a handover meeting with Bethan and Laura to ensure all of our planning was cross checked and we felt confident that Bethan understood our wishes.
We always hoped to have our ceremony outside on the lawn and it was perfect. The beautiful building behind and we were surrounded by the countryside.
As the bride, one of my favourite moments of the day way was sitting in the bay window of the bridal suite getting my make up done and watching the ceremony being set up on the lawn and our guests arriving.
Bethan was very professional on the day and kept everything running on time. The food was amazing, every plate was left clean, guests have all said how delicious the beef was. Our guests have not stopped talking about our wedding and the memories created at Slaley Hall . They’ve said it was the best wedding they’ve been to!

Our amazing wedding was held here at Slaley Hall. Staff went above and beyond even though only decided in feb 26 to get married in the June 26. Every inch was perfect all the staff were outstanding and helpful at every turn from the organising to the prep on the day before at every meeting to the hotel rooms being outstanding and beautiful. Battered for all our guest wants and needs. The food was put of this world wonderful from the tasting session to all the food on the day we have had so mamy complements on how wonderful it tasted to how much there was and how the buffet was outstanding. The bar staff were brilliant catered for all our guests. Marcus oand his reception team went above and beyond keeping all our guests happyand cheking in and out was so straightforward and a breezem Marcus also going out of his way to keep checking on our party and making sure all was running smoothly and we were happy over the whole weekend. All the rooms were clean and beautiful and nothing was ever an ask for housekeeping staff loads of our guests commented how accomodating the staff all were. Sofi the evening singer was phenomenal and Tim our Masters of ceremony made us feel like guests at our own wedding also ensuring the whole day run smoothly without me having to clock watch for what time everything was happening next. And Bethan what can I say our wedding corrodinator was truly amazing from knowing every detail I had requested to making it all come to life at every stage of the day she was brilliant and we cant thank her enough. A massive thank you to Beth who got us up to the finish line organising and making sure the wedding was all planned and every detail was thought of. Thank you all -

The perfect day, Bobbie, Bethan and all the team went above and beyond to make our day so perfect!
Every time I got a little bit stressed planning along the way Bobbie and the team took over everything and made it so relaxing
Our wedding day was absoloutly faultless and that was entirely down to the team at Slaley Hall.

The most magical day 💕
Where to begin… our wedding at Slaley Hall in a word magical! From we arrived on the Friday lunch time all the staff were second to none all weekend! Nothing was a problem for them, anything we asked for, any changes we needed made at short notice (I’d forgot about 2 guests attending) they made no fuss, professionalism 5*, food was incredible! Hats off to the chef! Bar staff kept drinks flowing all day/night into the early hours of the morning! A special shoutout to the lovely Sam! Providing toilet directions all night! Bethan our coordinator on the day.. excellent! Highly proficient and executed the day exceptionally! Chris a member of management team exceptional, very professional and overall lovely guy! Our wedding event coordinator over the 2 years of planning Kate was fabulous, very responsive to emails and phone calls any queries questions answered within the hour in most cases! If Kate was on her day off another member of her team replied in her place. Overall we couldn’t fault a thing, from start of booking to the actual wedding day. A special mention to Neville, who alongside his wife provided awesome stationary items bringing them to work for us so we didn’t have to think about a journey from Cumbria to the North East numerous times throughout the year! We cannot wait to return to Slaley year after year! If you’re thinking of Slaley Hall for your wedding venue, you won’t be disappointed!Slaley Hall's reply:

What a sensational venue. We spent many hours researching venues and booked multiple viewings, however from the moment we walked into Slaley, we knew this was the venue. The hall is spectacular and catered for our large wedding, but they also had additional rooms that we were able to use for other aspects of the wedding and pre-wedding. The outdoor space is unmatched, with huge patio and gardens for guests to venture out to and a hidden garden that guests loved exploring. The venue itself pictures very well and we were able to get many great drone shots too. Slaley Hall also has a golf course and spa that the wedding guests were able to use around the wedding and they all loved.
But Slaley Hall wouldn’t be Slaley Hall without their incredible wedding coordinating team. They were very attentive, professional, supportive and helped make our wedding incredible. They were very accommodating to have meetings around our busy shift work and their expertise shone through as they guided us through all the intricacies of wedding planning and organising. On the day, they made the day run so smoothly and were very active, allowing us to enjoy our wedding. A special mention to Becky and Kate who were sensational and we feel without them the wedding wouldn’t have been so smoothly run. Thank you to the whole team. Mohamed and Nasreen -

We had our wedding at Slaley Hall and had a fantastic experience. From the first meeting, they talked us through what would happen at each point of the day, giving us the options available to us, and making the pricing clear and understandable.
In the build up to our wedding, they were always prompt at replying to emails with all our questions, no matter how silly. We appreciated the organised and structured approach to our 6 month- and 1 month- meetings. We discussed each part of the day and the options available, which put our minds at ease that every detail had been considered and there would be no surprises on the day.
The wedding day itself was magical. The venue is truly special - it looks like a castle on the outside, and has a hidden Japanese garden for photographs. The day ran exactly to schedule. Our food was delicious as well, and received compliments from the guests.

23/5/2024 The Martin Wedding
Honestly the best day of our lives! We had our wedding at Slaley Hall, booked in feb 2022 for 23rd May 2024 and from the get go was hoping for our wedding to be outside under pagoda. Had heart set on this but due to weather week leading up was clear this wasn’t going ahead as rain wasn’t the best, the team as Slaley had a back up in drawing room in this case and it couldn’t have been more perfect, I ended up preferring it!! Such a beautiful room for our wedding, infact all the rooms including one prior for wedding party was huge and spacious for myself and my 6 bridesmaids to get ready in! Every staff member we encountered could not have done more for us, all extremely friendly and helpful, made us feel so at home!
All in all our whole wedding was a complete dream of what we wanted, infact more!! It was the best day of our lives and we can’t thank Slaley Hall enough for all their help and support throughout!!Slaley Hall's reply:
