Where do I begin? My husband and I became engaged in April 2023 and always knew we wanted to be married in a chapel. I spent countless hours researching venues with an onsite church, and Hengrave Hall consistently stood out. From the moment we explored their website, we were captivated. We immediately arranged a viewing—and it exceeded every expectation.
The venue is truly breath-taking. Queen Mary’s Drive makes such a striking first impression, and as we approached the Hall, we could hardly believe a place like this existed. We were welcomed by Izzy, who was not only lovely but incredibly knowledgeable as she guided us through the grounds. The entire estate is full of character: the beautifully appointed rooms, the immaculate gardens, and of course, the stunning chapel. We knew instantly that this was the venue for us and happily booked our 2025 date.
In the lead-up to the wedding, the team at Hengrave Hall were exceptional. Every question and concern was answered promptly, and I felt reassured throughout the entire planning process. When our wedding day finally arrived, it was truly the most magical day of my life. Any worry I had was handled before I even voiced it. The team were attentive, professional, friendly, and consistently ensured we were supported at every step. Their service was outstanding—they genuinely could not do enough for us.
If we could do it all again, we would choose Hengrave Hall without hesitation. Thank you for making our day absolutely perfect and for making us feel like royalty.

We had our wedding at Hengrave Hall on 12 July 2025. From our very first visit to Hengrave Hall we knew that this magical venue was where we wanted to get married. The entire venue is gorgeous and historic and kept in excellent condition; our guests were wowed by it. As history lovers we particularly loved how the Hall was decorated in a style sympathetic with the historical period of the property. While the hall itself is a dreamy, historical and luxurious venue, the staff is what elevates Hengrave to Suffolk's premier wedding venue. From our first visit to our wedding day, they went above and beyond for us. Every one of our (numerous) questions as answered quickly. We could visit the Hall pretty much as often as we liked, sometimes on the same day as we requested. The staff was always kind, courteous, helpful, and above all, professional.
I had been slightly worried as I have heard from other brides whose venues had in-house day-of coordinators that were not up to par. I had nothing to worry about whatsoever with the staff from Hengrave and their exclusive catering partners Milsoms, who ran the wedding day. All we needed to do was sit back and enjoy getting ready, the wedding, and the breakfast the morning after; we didn't need to worry or stress about a thing! When we arrived at 10:30am, the wedding was almost entirely set up already. The staff was attentive and helpful all day, making their presence and help known but not being intrusive. Any question or task was dealt with promptly. Most importantly, they kept us running on schedule and shepherded the guests where they needed to go and when! Every little detail was treated with attention and care. Numerous guests, including some in the wedding business themselves, commented that it was the best organised and run wedding they had ever attended. It was truly a high-end, luxury, and five-star experience.
Our whole wedding day was a gorgeous and amazing experience, thanks to Hengrave Hall and its staff. We are so glad we chose it and thank you so much! -

Hengrave was an amazing venue - all our guests were blown away! The staff made the day super easy and the whole planning process much more seamless!
