Mat and I had our Summer wedding at Hamswell house on Saturday 27th July and Sunday 28th July and it was the best decision we made.
From the very first time we saw Hamswell house, we were blown away by how beautiful the house and grounds are and the incredible views of the countryside. It was the perfect place for us to have an outdoor summer wedding where we could get married, surrounded by nature with our nearest and dearest!
On our wedding day, Hamswell house looked pristine. In the evening the lanterns looked stunning and the little touches they did didn’t go unnoticed. From the get go, we had guests complimenting the venue and the different areas we could explore as the wedding day went on- from the entrance walk to the beautiful house, to the ceremony under the lime tree, to the orangery confetti shot, the reception drinks with breathtaking views and the beautiful marquee setup, there was a lot of variety and this kept our guests guessing! We even had a very special golden hour photoshoot in the field above the house.
Rupert, the owner was very friendly and helpful, always answering emails efficiently and providing recommendations. It was great to have such accommodating hosts as our allies for our big day. From the beginning, you were so welcoming.
We were made to feel very welcome on the Sunday, when we all returned for a relaxed Sunday buffet which turned into fun games on the lawn afterwards.
We cannot recommend Hamswell house highly enough for a wedding! It was the best weekend of our lives and a lot of our guests said it was the best wedding they have been to as well.
Thank you so much Rupert and Hamswell House for such fond memories. I am sure we will return for a little wander in the future, to walk down memory lane! -

Our wedding at Hamswell House exceeded every single expectation we had. It is an incredibly beautiful wedding venue and Rupert was an incredible help and resource throughout the process. Most of our suppliers were familiar with Hamswell which made everything run smoothly and efficiently with zero hiccups. We viewed about 6 wedding venues and nothing compared to Hamswell. Would highly recommend for a beautiful and memorable wedding! We are all still receiving compliments from wedding guests on how did we ever find the venue! -

I could not recommend Hamswell House more as a wedding venue - the location is perfect and the house itself is beautiful and so picturesque. Rupert was communicative and helpful throughout our wedding planning process and our day was truly perfect as a result. -

We got married at Hamswell House on 20th a June 2026 and it was incredible. From the start Rupert & Victoria were so accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed from the get go. Hamswell House is absolutely stunning - the grounds are so well kept annd marquee is fantastic! Our pictures there look stunning and our guests constantly commented on how amazing the venue was. -

We got married here in the Autumn after falling in love with Hamswell House the year before. Such a gorgeous venue and the owner Rupert was so kind and helpful throughout. He was always quick to respond to our emails and always available to offer insightful advice. Even a stormy October day could not dampen the stunning setting and we would have no hesitation recommending as a great venue. -

Dream venue
Hamswell House is the dream venue for a wedding. Rupert and the wedding coordinators made sure everything went to plan and guided us when planning the timings for arrival and even supported us in keeping the bride (me) hidden from view. They provide all the information you need on local places to stay, modes of transport, caterers and designers, the lot! The location is stunning and is based in the middle of the Cotswolds which truly makes the day feel magical and makes the event feel intimate with family and friends.
Plenty of photo opportunities and space to relax on a very exciting wedding day.
You have to book with a separate supplier if you’re having a reception as it is in a marquee but Henry makes this such an easy process.
Can’t thank the Hamswell House team enough! Perfect day at the perfect location.

Hamswell House was the absolute dream wedding venue! We had the perfect sunny day and everything was fantastic! Rupert was on hand to help from the very start and recommended Queen & Whippet who were the best caterers ever- everyone is still commenting on the food & the view from the reception. . -
