Our wedding at Charlton Hall was sensational. The venue is spectacular and it is staffed by the most amazing team. We loved it's exclusivity and the grounds and rooms are absolutely stunning. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant, most definitely a 5 star experience all round!
My husband and I were so impressed with Jess Lilley, our wedding manager. Jess is incredibly supportive, kind and flawless at her job. She literally helped us save our wedding and we will be forever thankful to her. She excelled in her role to look after my husband and I in the run up to our wedding and she absolutely smashed it on the big day. She is a gorgeous person and a true credit to the team!
At short notice we had to change our plans and move our wedding to Charlton Hall, which for most would seem a challenge. However with Jess and the rest of the wonderful team at Charlton Hall it seemed to be seamless and effortless for them. Louise Notman, the reservations and events manager, was absolutely fantastic and helped us organise our guests accommodation. Louise was a dream to communicate with and she totally went out of her way to help us. Another star in the company!
On the day we felt looked after to an impeccable standard. Matt Leetham, the venue manager, was outstanding and guided us flawlessly through our day. All of our guests mentioned how they thought this of Matt too. It was also extremely impressive that he was back first thing the next morning for breakfast to look after the bridal party, a proper legend!
A special thanks to Roma Franks who is another wedding & events manager at Charlton Hall. We communicated with Roma a few times with our final details and she was wonderful and super helpful on all occasions. Then on our big day and the morning after she helped out too and was absolutely fantastic, a real gem!
Finally a huge thanks to Kevin Shanahan, the group general manager, who was awesome and helped turn our room around for our evening reception. The Looking Glass looked magical!
We would like to personally thank all of the team at Charlton Hall for their incredible efforts for our wedding, it was so special and honestly the best day of our life. Quoting many of our guests “your wedding will go down in history as one of the best weddings ever!”
We can’t wait to go back and visit!

Camilla Sent on 06/09/2025Beautiful Setting and Wonderful Day, but Watch Accommodation Prices
Charlton Hall is a truly magical and unique venue. The ceremony space is breathtaking and does not need anything added to make it sparkle as it really speaks for itself. The building and grounds provide a stunning backdrop for photos, and our guests were blown away by the character and beauty of the setting. The food on the day was absolutely delicious, service throughout was excellent, and everything ran smoothly thanks to the team.
I have to give special mention to Roma, who was a star from start to finish. She went above and beyond, even helping to set up the tables and making sure everything stayed on schedule, which was invaluable as I was not feeling well. Her professionalism and kindness made such a difference to the day.
However, one major issue did cause us stress. The venue charged our wedding party and guests almost 50 percent more for accommodation when booking directly through reception compared to prices available online, even for those trying to book a month or two in advance. In the end, I had to advise all guests to book online to avoid being overcharged. Despite raising this, the venue never apologised, which was disappointing. It was only because I have a sharp eye for detail that we caught it, but it is not the kind of issue you expect from such a high end venue. Additionally, the Stable Cottage did have a slight smell of damp and it seemed the septic tank may have needed attention, as there was an occasional sewage smell.
Overall, Charlton Hall is a beautiful and unforgettable venue with a magical ceremony location, excellent food, and a great team, but couples should be aware of accommodation pricing and double check bookings carefully -

We got married at Charlton Hall and it was perfect. Roma, Matt and the team went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly, and we could not have been happier with our experience.
We had so many comments from our guests about how quirky the venue & accommodation was, and about the amazing food that was served.
The whole day was so relaxed, and nothing was too much trouble. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married somewhere a little less traditional.
We can’t wait to come back & visit!

Simply amazing!
We had our beautiful wedding day at Charlton Hall on 29th August and it was simply amazing. Everything went to plan and it was all so smooth thanks to Roma, Matt and Derek. What a team! Roma was so helpful the night before popping over to see me and the girls at the Stable Cottage and putting me at ease on the morning with the timings of everything. Matt was a star making sure my hubby and I got time to ourselves and to reflect on the days events and he made sure we were never without a drink, and Derek even helped me to keep my balance whilst removing stones from my wedding shoes! The venue is so eclectic and so many guests commented on how beautiful and inviting it was. It really is a showstopper and we’ve made so many wonderful memories. Can’t wait to go back each anniversary! Thank you Charlton Hall x -

Best. Day. Ever!
We just wanted to say thank you so so much to all of the team at Charlton Hall for making our day on the 23/07/22 absolutely magical! It was everything we could have dreamed of and more! It truly was the best day of our lives and all of our guests had the most amazing time.
From booking Roma was amazing and on the day everything went absolutely perfect, everyone was beyond incredible but I really want to say a special thankyou to Roma and Matt who absolutely smashed it. We felt so comfortable and relaxed on the day and every aspect went perfectly. I would give anything to do it all again! Also the food and drinks were absolutely out of this world!
I honestly couldn't recommend Charlton Hall enough for a wedding and we will 100% be booking to stay over on anniversaries! -

Firstly we would like to just say a huge thank you to all the staff that helped make our wedding day truly amazing. We had the best day with everything running like clockwork. We would like to say an extra special thank you to Roman and Matt for all their hard work and support. Our day would not have been as spectacular without their help. We cannot recommend Charlton Hall enough, and cant wait to return in the near future. All our guests absolutely loved the venue, food and the relaxed atmosphere thorough our day. -

Fantastic day from start to finish
Amazing day. Beautifully quirky venue and the ceremony room was dreamy! Smoothly tan by the wedding coordinators and plenty of accommodation options for guests with more coming soon! Great for the night before with the wedding party. -

Outstanding.. such a vibe! Helluva venue, stylish & chic!
Overall I thought the whole experience was out of this world, the team couldn’t do enough for us! Didn’t feel pressured at all. From the first day visiting Charlton Hall to the morning after our wedding was absolutely fantastic!!!! The staff are what makes the place, I mean the venue is just something else but it’s ran so professionally & staff make you feel super comfortable being so down to earth! Special shout out to Laura! -
