Masseria Li Reni

Masseria Li Reni is a late-16th-century farmhouse in the Puglian countryside near Manduria, a short drive from Taranto and the Ionian coast. The family that owns it restored the property and reopened it as a small luxury dimora di charme, and they still run it themselves today. Most guests reach the masseria within about an hour of Bari or Brindisi airport.

The setting

Weddings are held in exclusive use, so for the length of the celebration the whole estate belongs to one couple alone. There are sixteen rooms and suites, two swimming pools (one heated, the other around seventy square metres), a stone courtyard, a spa and a gym, and a secret garden cut into the rock. Couples choose among nine outdoor settings for the different moments of the day, from the intimate Giardino Segreto to the open Aia, the Corte and the shade of the pinewood, so the ceremony, the aperitivo and the dinner can each have their own backdrop. Civil, symbolic and religious ceremonies can all be arranged on site.

Capacity and food

The masseria hosts weddings from around fifty guests up to three hundred. The kitchen is at the centre of every celebration: a gourmet restaurant rooted in Pugliese tradition, cooking the produce of the land and pouring wine from the estate's own vineyards.

The experience, before and after the day

Most couples travel from abroad and stay for several days, so there is plenty to do around the wedding itself. Guests can walk the vineyards, visit the cellar to see how the wine is made, and sit down to tastings and aperitivi outdoors. The days fill easily: a rehearsal dinner the evening before, long lunches by the pool, an after party once the tables are cleared, and in the days that follow a pool party and a pizza night around the fire before everyone heads home. With sixteen bedrooms on site, the closest family and friends can stay for the whole celebration.

Service

The family looks after each couple personally, from the first visit to the last toast, and works with trusted local suppliers for flowers, photography, music and transport.
