Gilford Castle Estate is a new-to-market luxury wedding venue located in the heart of County Armagh. It is a living house; a place where families and groups of friends stay for extended periods, and, like you, we believe celebrations should be truly meaningful.

Your celebration unfolds across a Victorian Scottish Baronial mansion, surrounded by verdant ornamental gardens, wild woodland, and the gentle banks of the River Bann.

Our philosophy is simple: your wedding should unfold at its own pace. The day flows naturally through the spaces that feel right for you, shaped by your vision and those closest to you.

All Ceremony spaces (if required) are fully licensed. We can accommodate a Ceremony for up to 70 inside the Castle and we have numerous spaces outside allowing us to accommodate Ceremonies for approximately 150 guests – weather dependant. A clear span marquee for that outdoor Ceremony can be erected at an additional cost...just in case the weather turns.

Following the Ceremony, there is time to pause and enjoy the surroundings with photographs in the gardens, gentle walks through the grounds, and unhurried conversations over drinks. As daylight softens and the garden lights begin to glow, guests come together for dining. This may take place within the Castle or inside our beautifully appointed Garden Pavilion.

Our formal dining room within the Castle can accommodate approximately 50 guests, while the Garden Pavilion can seat up to 180 guests.

The evening then unfolds with music, dancing, and celebration, all within a home that feels entirely your own. All of our premises are fully licensed, allowing celebrations to continue late into the night in the Garden Pavilion and for Castle residents ‘into the wee small hours’, before retiring to your beautiful bedrooms.

Gilford Castle offers ten beautifully appointed bedroom suites, available on an exclusive block-booking basis, meaning the accommodation is entirely yours for the duration of your stay.

We are proud to work with some of Northern Ireland’s finest wedding suppliers, ensuring every aspect of your celebration is delivered to the highest standard.

Catering is arranged separately, allowing complete flexibility to reflect your personal tastes. We would be delighted to introduce you directly to our highly recommended & trusted partners so you may work together to design your menu.
