History

The origins of this marvellous castle are very ancient, with the earliest records dating back to 976. In 1498, the location became a possession of the Genoese aristocratic Gentile family, who received the title of Counts of Tagliolo. In 1750, after Teresa Gentile married Costantino Pinelli, the fief of Tagliolo passed to the Pinelli Gentile family.
