Our Real Wedding

We went for a Celtic wintery theme (colours informed by the groom’s military outfit) at a residential space in West Sussex to get more time with our friends and family. We personalised as much as we could to make it as fun and memorable as possible, and added some humour to avoid taking ourselves too seriously. We used suppliers we felt good talking to, or knew personally (where we could). It was important for us that no one went hungry or thirsty on the day waiting around so we went big on food. We had a ceilidh for the evening dancing to cross generations. We chose a photographer who calmly focused on capturing the emotion of the day rather than staged shots (attached photos courtesy of the lovely Guy Collier). It was truly amazing for us. We only wish someone had warned us that the adrenaline would limit both of our own hunger! The food looked so good but we had little stomach for it.
