29 Oct, 2025Our Real Wedding
Our day was pure magic from start to finish. We arrived the day before with our closest family, easing into the energy of the weekend with a Halloween party that brought both families together in a fun, witchy, joy-filled way. The next day blossomed into our autumnal rustic witch wedding — a barn ceremony overlooking the Devon coast, glowing with candlelight and autumn warmth. I wore my dream dress, a Sophia Tolli from Satin Bow Bridal in St Albans, while Eddie wore a tweed suit, perfectly matched by his two mini best men. Our ceremony space felt like stepping straight into a spell: an arch draped in fabric and autumnal flowers, floating candles surrounding us, a jute rug beneath our feet, and hurricane lamps lining the aisle. The barn twinkled with soft light. My bouquet held a moonstone and a photo of my grandparents, so they were with me every step. Our altar held the elements, crystals, and candles — the heart of our magic. Our vows were deep, sacred, and soul-binding… but our ceremony was also fun, interactive, and full of life. Our guests said “We do!” to their own vows and then burst into We Are Family, making it joyful, loud, and beautifully unforgettable — the perfect blend of spiritual and playful. We honoured our children’s godparents, then stepped outside into the coastal breeze for confetti cannons by the sea. The reception carried our Tarot-and-Crystal theme, with candlelit tables and the whole flower crew’s artistry creating an enchanted, earthy atmosphere. Our evening turned into a feast — BBQ, hog roast, and scones pulled straight from our towering scone cake. Our first dance took place under the moonlight, surrounded by smoke bombs and sparklers, swaying to Dancing in the Moonlight — a cinematic moment that felt like our own spell cast into the night. One of the most emotional moments was my first look with my son — and having him walk me down the aisle will stay in my heart forever. And, in true us fashion, we ended the night with laughter and a little recklessness — climbing out onto the cliff for those breathtaking photos. Giggles, glam, wind in our hair, and absolutely no regard for sensible footwear… risking life and limb for the perfect shot. It was wild, it was romantic, it was completely us. The whole day was a true family affair: full of magic, mischief, love, good vibes, and memories we’ll be talking about for a lifetime.
