Callum and Jade's Wedding in Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Looking back now, one of the best decisions we made was trusting our wedding planners. They do this day in, day out and honestly took away so much stress. When we arrived in Greece and had our planning meeting, everything suddenly felt real. They talked us through the whole day, timings, suppliers and all the little details we'd probably have forgotten about ourselves. From that point onwards, we felt completely relaxed and just excited for what was to come.

Cameo Island was the venue that made us choose Zakynthos in the first place. We'd seen the photos online, but nothing prepares you for seeing it in person. Walking across the bridge and seeing all of our guests waiting there is a moment we'll never forget. It was one of those moments where you wish you could just pause time for a minute and take it all in.

The views were unbelievable, the setting was stunning, and every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Even now, weeks later, people are still talking about the ceremony location.

The reception at Vezalis was everything we hoped for and more. We probably went a little overboard with decorations and extras, but the team somehow managed to make everything work together perfectly. Walking into the venue for the first time was such a surreal moment because it looked even better than we had imagined.

The atmosphere all day and night was incredible. The live music, the Greek band, the Greek dancers, the food, the drinks, and just having everyone together in one place created such a special feeling. The Greek dancing ended up being one of the highlights of the whole wedding. Beforehand, we thought it would just be something fun to watch, but seeing so many of our guests getting involved and loving every minute of it was amazing.

Food was a huge thing for us, and it definitely didn't disappoint. We chose the BBQ Meze menu because we wanted everyone to have plenty of choice, and nobody went hungry. The amount of food was unbelievable, and we've had so many comments from guests about how much they enjoyed it. The finger food, cheese and fruit platters, ice cream cart, sweet cart and wedding cake were all incredible too, and there genuinely felt like there was something for everyone.

One thing we're especially glad we invested in was photography and videography. We've only received sneak peeks so far, but they've already had us both in tears. Somehow, they've captured moments that we completely missed on the day because everything happens so quickly. Looking back through the previews has allowed us to relive moments we didn't even realise had happened.

The entertainment throughout the day and evening was another huge highlight. The live guitar and piano duo created the perfect atmosphere whilst guests mingled, the Greek band gave us the authentic taverna-style evening we'd hoped for, and the Greek dancers completely exceeded expectations. We never imagined we'd all be Greek dancing after dinner, but it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of the entire wedding. The fireworks were also a complete surprise for our guests and were the perfect way to add another magical moment to the evening.

After Greece, we had our UK wedding reception at Rochdale Golf Club on 13th June, so we could celebrate with even more family and friends. We had around 150 guests and honestly couldn't have picked a better venue.

The team there were brilliant from start to finish. We dropped decorations off the evening before, and they offered to set so much of it up for us, which was a massive help and took a lot of pressure off. It allowed us to focus on enjoying the celebrations rather than worrying about logistics.

The food was incredible. We went for a hot and cold buffet, and it's genuinely one of the best buffets we've ever had. We actually wish we'd ordered less because we massively overestimated how much people would eat! The bar was also really well organised. With around 150 guests, we expected queues all night, but there never seemed to be any huge waits, which kept everything flowing really well.

One of our favourite things about the venue was the balcony overlooking the golf course. Guests loved being able to step outside for some fresh air, and the views made for some beautiful photos. Some of our favourite pictures from the reception were taken out there.

We were also incredibly lucky with our photographer for the UK reception. Tammy from Elysian Photography was booked only a few days before the event, but you would never have known. She was so friendly, complimentary and genuinely excited for us as a couple. The sneak peeks she has shared are beautiful and perfectly capture the atmosphere of the evening. Her lovely social media posts afterwards and the kind things she said about wishing she could have photographed our wedding in Greece, too, really showed how much she cares about her couples.

When we look back at our wedding journey, what stands out most isn't the decorations, flowers or even the venues. It's the people. Seeing our families and friends together in Greece, spending time on the boat trip, sharing meals, making memories and then doing it all again at our UK reception is something we'll never forget.

If there's one thing we've learned, it's that the things you'll remember most aren't the little details you spent months worrying about. It's the feeling of looking around and seeing all of your favourite people together in one place. It's the hugs, the laughs, the dance floor moments and all the memories made throughout the day.

We honestly wouldn't change a thing. From Greece to our UK reception, it was everything we wanted and more. We feel incredibly lucky to have shared it with so many amazing people, and we'll be talking about it for years to come.

Our advice to anyone planning their wedding would simply be to trust your suppliers, trust the process and enjoy every second. The day goes by so quickly, but the memories last forever.
