Our Real Wedding

We got engaged last March in Shibuya Tokyo, just after our 8th anniversary, one of the most gorgeous days, probably our favourite until this past Saturday where it was overtaken by our wedding day as the best day of our lives.

Ben and I have always been pretty chill about our wedding, there were a few things we knew we wanted but mostly we just wanted it to be our day, where you could see glimpses of our almost decade together. Our cats were featured on our welcome mirror, on Ben's suit, Ashton's earrings, on the cake and on stickers given to guests.

Being big nerds, we had our guests arrive to songs from video games, Ashton walked down the aisle to a cover of a song from Final Fantasy, some of our favourite card games were scattered about for guests to play and everyone had a Taskmaster task on their table to complete.

Our favourite part of the day was our ceremony, led by one of our dearest friends, during which we read out personalised vows, exchanged rings and had a surprised group reading of Shakespeare's Sonnet #47. We both cried it was perfect.
