Our Real Wedding
We kept our wedding day small and intimate, surrounded only by our closest family. I chose not to wear the traditional white dress, making the day feel entirely our own. My mum lovingly made our cake, and my mother-in-law gathered my flowers straight from her own garden—details that meant more to us than anything money could buy.
It was a lovely sunny day, and after the ceremony we stood by the river, holding each other close while friends and family showered us in confetti. Afterward, we headed to our local pub for a buffet and drinks in the warm sunshine. That pub has become a sacred place for us; we go back regularly to reminisce, and every single visit brings back a rush of happy memories and full hearts.
