Our Real Wedding

We fell in love with Llantilio House from the moment we discovered it on Hitch. The dry hire element meant it was possible to put our own stamp and style on the day, the pool room and heated pool was the perfect place to host our family and friends for the whole weekend and the fact it was set in the shadow of the Sugarloaf Mountain made it feel uniquely Welsh.

We really wanted two things from our wedding; to give those closest to us a really good time (we've always loved hosting a good party) and for the day to feel uniquely 'us.' It ended up being wild and windy and wonderful - power cuts in the church, challenging conditions for Asado style cooking and shoeys on the dance floor to finish the night! It was perfect.

Music was hugely important to us and we had everything from a male voice choir to begin the Church ceremony to an Irish folk band to bring the night to a close.

Favourite moment - the speeches. The thought that had gone into what was said on the day was just so special.
