Our Real Wedding
Myself and Alex got married 25th April 2026 at the Palm Court Hotel Aberdeen. And what a day it was! Forever going to be the best memories! Prior to the big day, we had our celebrant cancel on us at 10 pm Friday Night… luckily, she was able to get someone else to step in just in time… so we were very nervous about the whole thing.
But the day was absolutely amazing, our wedding coordinator did such an amazing job with setting up our decor and paying close attention to the details. I, the bride, was running late to the ceremony due to my dress being too big and had to stuff things in my bra! Haha!! The poor groom stood very nervously, unable to look at anyone, and the best man had to calm him down.
We had the lovely Alba pipers who played the bagpipes whilst guests arrived & for the bride down the aisle- David did such a great job and made the bride emotional before she even got down the aisle! The celebrant Anna also did an amazing job and had us all giggling… Even when our wee boy took a tantrum, flashed everyone under his kilt and almost knocked the flower hoop down on the bride and groom's heads … finally, we were husband and wife.
Continue reading »We got some photos done with guests and the confetti shot before the piper and celebrant left. We went to Johnston Gardens to get some photographs and then back to the hotel for more photographs and a drink or two. We had our sit-down meal with all our family under one roof. The nighttime guests were arriving before the meal had finished, and the DJ had not arrived yet.
Next came the cake cut and the first dance. One very nervous bride asked the dj to cut the song from 2 mins to like a minute if not less, but was unable to do so haha!! Everyone was up dancing, and many shots were drunk. Our little boy had a nap, which we knew he would not sleep the whole night from.. he napped in his buggy and woke up before 11 pm. The DJ played the song crazy frog, and he was full on having a rave, everyone stood round him in a circle whilst he bounced about the place having the time of his life. It was such an amazing day with family for such a happy time in my and Alex's life. I’ll forever be grateful!
