Our engagement couldn’t have been more magical. Alex proposed at Wilderness Festival, a year to the day before we got married — and on my birthday (yes, I now get to celebrate our wedding and my birthday on the same day!). It was a complete surprise: he had hired a luxury tent and covered it in petals and flowers. Walking in to see it was breathtaking, and when he got down on one knee it was honestly the most incredible moment of my life.
When it came to our wedding, we knew we wanted something that felt elegant and formal but still deeply connected to nature — an “enchanted forest” brought to life, infused with both my Jewish traditions and Alex’s northern Italian heritage. Choosing The Cherry Barn as a dry-hire venue meant we could make every single element feel personal to us, and we filled it with details that reflected who we are.
Our florist, Charlotte of Frankie Lane Flowers, created the most extraordinary Chuppah for our ceremony, draped with wild greenery and romantic blooms. Inside the barn, she transformed the space into a woodland wonderland — truly an enchanted forest. Donna, our wedding planner, was the powerhouse behind it all, bringing every detail together with such creativity, precision, and heart.

Alex looked so handsome in his suit, and together we felt timeless but relaxed — ready to laugh, cry, and dance the night away.
The food was unforgettable. John from Smoke Tin Kitchen created dishes worthy of a five-star London restaurant, and our guests are still talking about them weeks later. The Ambassadors Band were absolutely electric — the dancefloor was full until the very last song, with guests from all generations dancing together. And Luke, our photographer, captured it all so beautifully in his documentary style. His photos are pure art: every image feels alive.
One of our favourite moments came just after the ceremony. Donna surprised us with a picnic hamper filled with champagne and strawberries, giving us ten quiet minutes to pause, reflect, and soak it all in before rejoining our guests. In a whirlwind of love and celebration, that pocket of stillness meant everything.
It was the best day of our lives — and honestly, it went beyond even our wildest dreams. We still haven’t fully processed it! From start to finish, it was a day of joy, love, family, food, music, and magic.
And perhaps most wonderfully, we found every single one of our incredible suppliers through Hitched — which made the whole process so much easier. They didn’t just help us plan a wedding; they helped us create memories that will last a lifetime.
