Sam Mawhinney Photography is a wedding photographer based in Northern Ireland, covering weddings across Belfast and throughout the country.

My approach to wedding photography is simple. I want you to enjoy your wedding day without feeling like you’re spending half of it posing for photographs. I photograph things naturally as they happen, capturing all the laughs, reactions and little moments you might otherwise miss.

Most of the couples I photograph tell me they’re not particularly comfortable in front of a camera, so keeping everything relaxed is a massive part of how I work. For most of the day I’ll blend into the background and let things happen naturally. When we do head out for a few photos together, I’ll keep it easy and give you enough direction that you never feel awkward or unsure what to do.

You’ll still get the family photographs and relaxed portraits that matter, but without your wedding day turning into one long photoshoot.

Wedding Photography Packages

I offer a range of wedding photography packages, from shorter coverage for smaller weddings through to full day photography from morning preparations right through to the dancing.

Every wedding is different, so I’m always happy to chat through your plans and help you work out the right amount of coverage for your day.

After the wedding, your photographs are individually edited and delivered in a private online gallery in full resolution, making it easy to download, share and order prints.
