Asili Photography is a wedding photography business based in Poynton, Cheshire. We also work a lot in Scotland and cover weddings all over the UK and worldwide. Lead photographer Helen Johnson has been photographing weddings for more than ten years all over the world. She loves powerful, candid images, and her friendly, supportive but unobtrusive style puts couples at ease and gives you the confidence you need to look and feel your best on your wedding day! Our editing style is true to colour - if you're looking for photos that reflect your day and tell the story for generations to come, get in touch! We love outdoor weddings and we like to push the boundaries to achieve stunning images. Helen loves a good adventure, and she can’t wait to meet you and discuss what she can do for you.

Services Offered

Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a grand celebration, Helen has the talent and experience you need to make your day a success. Wedding photography package features and options include a pre-wedding photo session, half-day and full-day coverage, a second photographer, wedding albums, boxes, and prints. Bespoke packages are also available. We do not offer videography services but can recommend suppliers that we like to work with.

What does the wedding package include?

Whatever you would like it to! I will cover from the getting ready to the end of the day, pre wedding shoots, prints, albums and all the details in between. Check my website for more details!

How far in advance should I contact you?

Anytime from 2 years in advance of the wedding day, preferably at least 6 months before your big day. The early the better to make sure that I am available and so that we have lots of time to plan!

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, the whole of the UK and destination weddings too. I absolutely love an adventure! I'm lucky enough to have three (yes 3!) passports so I can photograph your wedding wherever in the world it is!

What is the charge for travelling?

This depends on the location of your wedding. Most weddings in the UK will have no charge for travelling, but if the wedding is futher away then we can chat about that when we have our consultation

I would describe my approach as supportive yet unobtrusive, adventurous and fun

I use Canon DSLRs and also have a drone depending on the location and style of wedding

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

How do you charge extra time?

I have rates on my website for extra hours, however I expect the timings to run a little longer than planned and always stay on to finish the wedding in case the time really does run on!

What are the forms of payment?

30% deposit to confirm the booking and balance is paid 24hours beforehand

How do you work?

I usually work on my own but depending on the wedding, will have a second photographer. My style is very much fun & candid, telling the unique, authentic story of your day!

Our wedding!

Helen was absolutely amazing as our photographer for our wedding. Not only was she incredibly professional but she was also incredibly flexible and able to join us on our boat for the reception even though this would be for much longer than her wedding package stated, she didn’t even charge any extra! Helen made us feel relaxed and captured those special moments for us without it feeling forced or posed. The quality of the pictures will be treasured forever.

Fantastic photos!

Me and my husband had a winter wedding in Stockholm 2020. Helen did a great job as our wedding photographer. She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoot. We were thrilled with the results! Helen was able to capture the beauty of the venue and the light! She blended into the background and got some fantastic action shots of us and our guests. We rekommenderar her unreservedly.

Excellent experience and beautiful pictures!

We had a great experience with Asili Photography in Sweden for our wedding shoot. Helen was super professional, responsive and flexible and showed passion for her work.
