We were so pleased with our wedding photos. We were grateful James agreed at short notice to cover our wedding as it was just as COVID restrictions were lifting. James was exceptionally professional and listened to what we wanted. He gave every care and consideration on our wedding day and went over and beyond to give us a lovely little album to look back on. James is an excellent wedding photographer. He was generous with his time, and had multiple planning sessions with beforehand to make sure we got all the key photos we wanted. He was really helpful with suggestions, such as advising us not to overwhelm ourselves with too many posed photos! On the day he worked really hard, James was great at wrangling all our guests (and we had a lot!), and made sure we got the photos we wanted and we absolutely love them.

I cannot recommend James' photography enough; at all points in the process he was professional, supportive and meticulous in capturing our big day. As a gay couple, we were unsure how to 'stage' our photographs as so many of the conventional poses and framing of wedding photography is implicitly 'heteronormative'. James was fantastic in suggesting staging and poses that felt natural and very 'us' whilst never being overly intrusive or 'directing'. He got some wonderful candid shots of us throughout the day as well as some fabulous pictures of our guests. He was patient and professional throughout, even when errant children were making things difficult (!) and effortlessly wrangled our 90 guests into some lovely group shots. He was easy to communicate with throughout and was a cool and level head on the day, even when other issues were arising. We had a mix of romantic, elegant shots mixed in with fun and energetic images as the night drew on! He produced both colour and black and white images for us. His pictures have been a wonderful memento of our special day :)
