Chris Huston Photo is a Belfast-based wedding photographer who will capture the real energy and the drama on your big day. He is driven by actual moments, a love of the environment, crazy Irish weather, shooting after dark, and meeting good people. His goal is to document your wedding naturally and energetically. He knows that each couple is special and that you deserve to have your big day captured by an experienced artist in a way that will do it justice forever.

How Chris works

There will be little in the way of rigid formal poses, but he will give you a little guidance, and I do make time for some group setups along the way. His focus is on natural feelings, real energy, and scenic outdoor images… there is nothing more special.

No charge for Ireland and Northern Ireland. Other locations can be negotiated

Currently using Canon SLRs and lenses. Polaroid. Various grip and lighting equipment. Apple computers

Yes, bespoke galleries hosted on my own website

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

How do you charge extra time?

Fees are agreed in advance if not already covered in additional contract. I am pretty flexible

What are the forms of payment?

e-banking, cheque, cash (UK pounds and Euros). Wedding spot discount is 10% on digital packages. Does not apply to albums or other printed materials

How do you work?

I have a rough idea of set times for group shots during a wedding day. My usual approach is to keep moving and to try to interact with the guests and not to interfere too much with the real energy

Chris was absolutely brilliant with us from start to finish, he was in touch with me loads from arranging our engagement photo shoot to checking details of the wedding, nothing was overlooked. We really felt that his laid back style fitted our personalities and made us feel totally at ease for a couple who aren't confident in front of a camera! During our engagement shoot he had us climbing all over the Giants Causeway and it was so worth while when we received the most beautiful sunset shots!! On our wedding day we were hardly aware of him being there, we loved the casual non-intrusive shots which just captured the day perfectly. We recommend Chris to everyone who is getting married as for us he had the perfect blend of casual, cool, relaxed style with a bit of adventure thrown in!!
