Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of your service?
For all day and night coverage the price is £1,600.
There is no limit on hours, I won't be running off straight after your first dance - you do want a bunch of amazing pictures of your evening celebrations don't you?
Please note - I do offer discounts for certain professions, see the special offer section for details.
What services do you offer?
Photography, bloody great photography.
What does the wedding package include?
Me, Paul as your photographer
. All images individually edited by myself to the same high standard you see on my website. Full rights to download, print and share your images (no watermarks). A beautiful personal online gallery for you to view, share, download and love your pictures from. Unlimited hours - I tell the full story of a wedding so I won't run away after your first dance. The absolute pleasure of having me around for the day.
How far in advance should I contact you?
As early as possible - most couples book me at least a year in advance, I have some bookings for 3 years in advance already
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No chance! I'm all yours for the duration of your wedding. I also space my bookings out at least every two weeks, so your wedding pictures get my full undivided attention.
Are you able to travel?
Absolutely! What I offer is rather unique, couples from across the UK and Europe ask me to photograph their weddings because they can't find what they need locally.
What is the charge for travelling?
Nothing. I don't charge for travel or accommodation. You're paying for me to photograph your wedding. The only exception to this is weddings abroad, but I'll put a bespoke quote together for you.
What style of photos do you take?
Documentary, real life, genuine moments, full of emotion, fun and energy - bloody good ones.
What kind of technology do you use?
Ummm a camera, a time machine, a cloak of invisibility, oh I have a car not a horse and cart - I mean what kind of question is this to ask???
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
Yes, being like a guest not a photographer (ie not a pain in the ass), it's completely relaxing for you. I've spent 8 years perfecting my approach to photographing weddings so I'm not like "the wedding photographer". There's more information on my website about my approach.
What kind of equipment do you use?
A Fujifilm xpro 2 nd 18mm lens - do you even care??? From your perspective it's probably smaller than a lot of cameras your guests will bring, it helps me fit in, not stick out. I have backup stuff in my car too, I'm not a buffoon!
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, I have my own password protected gallery system online. Couples can share the gallery with anyone they want, download their pictures, order prints and share pictures to social media directly from it.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
What's a photographic report? Like me saying how well you performed as a couple on the day...? Delivery of pictures ranges from 4 to 8 weeks usually, I take my time to make sure they're ahhhh-mazing.
Do you send all the photos taken?
Even the ones of my feet? No that would be silly ! I send every picture that's decent, who am I to withhold your memories from you? They're all edited to my ridiculously high standards of course.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I work alone, as a documentary photographer it's important to be super discreet. The whole two photographers thing is a load of nonsense anyway, having said that if your wedding is massive ie 350+ day guests I my bring a second shooter as 2 photographers can work discreetly at large scale events. I won't charge you for that, it's my choice to make.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Of course, I have a number of people who can potentially step in should I get locked in a toilet the night before or something.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
Yes, although I won't publish photo's if we pre-agree you need to retain your privacy due to your career or social status.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event, the price quoted covers everything. Even if I stay until 3am in the morning (usually if your party is lively and I'm having fun)
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
See above, I work ALL the hours anyway.
How do you charge extra time?
I don't - aren't you lucky
What are the forms of payment?
How do you work?
I generally get up in the morning and work, I usually have both my eyes open and point a camera at things and take pictures of them.
I work to join in as part of your day, not come across as the wedding photographer. I prefer to sit with your guests and get to know them so everyone feels like they know me rather than avoiding eye contact because the photographer is coming their way.
