Simon was absolutely fantastic from the moment we first met him to the moment our photos were delivered. He took the time to get to know us and made us feel completely at ease (despite neither my partner or I ever really being keen on having our photos taken). He managed to capture a wonderful mix of some beautiful portraits and lots of candid photos of both us and our guests enjoying the day. Being able to look through our 900 photos just 3 weeks after our wedding was beyond anything we could have expected. Simon was so professional and yet fit in really well with the guests. We genuinely could not recommend him enough, and the price he charges for his level of experience and quality of images is amazing. -

After first seeing one of Simon's albums at an open day at our chosen venue (Pencoed House), I instantly knew I wanted him to photograph our big day. His photographs are effortlessly beautiful and not only capture the events throughout the day, but tell the story and turn the most candid of moments into sparks of magic.
I could go on and on about how professional Simon was from our initial meeting right up to our big day and tell you about how he listens to exactly what you want from him and miraculously creates it, but what really sold Simon to us was his ability to capture personalities in all his photographs. Neither myself or my husband are big into the perfectly posed photographs as that's not us at all, we are both bubbly, high-energy people and Simon brought this out of us and created the most amazing and candid photos we could have ever dreamed of.
One of our biggest concerns was whether our little girl (aged 2) would cooperate on the day and be "good" having her photo taken, it's safe to say we shouldn't have worried at all, Simon won her over from the get go and she was more than happy to show off her pretty dress and smile, we both got very emotional seeing all the photos of her having the time of her life and cannot thank Simon enough for capturing our pride and joy so beautifully and giving her all the attention she wanted.
To my self conscious brides I am telling you to book Simon, I hate having my photos taken and never feel 'nice' in photos, however, every single photo Simon took of me makes me feel beautiful, even when cackling with laughter and crying at speeches he will make you feel like the most beautiful bride ever, I was nearly in tears seeing the first image of me in my dress that was sent over as a sneak peak and I knew I had made the right decision trusting Simon with photographing our wedding day.
Simon not only captures you, but he captures your day and we honestly cannot shout his praises enough. If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, I beg you to check out Simon's work, the man is truly a genius with a camera! -

Simon photographed our wedding a few weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with him and with the photos he has created from our day. Simon has been a wonderful supplier to deal with from the very start, meeting us for coffee and responding to our many questions over email. On the day, he managed to be both incredibly professional and wonderfully fun, fitting right in with the guests and putting everyone, including us, at ease. We have just had the photographs from our wedding back and they have exceeded all our expectations! He has expertly captured the fun and happiness from our day, whilst also getting so many of the more elegant shots that we wanted. Looking at the photos has been like reliving the day and our friends and family are absolutely delighted. The photos were received very quickly, but a lot of work has clearly gone into them and we are so grateful to Simon for capturing our day so well. Such a reasonable price for an exceptional service and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the area! -

Simon photographed our wedding on 14.10.2023.
And what a brilliant job he did.
We’ve been to weddings where the photos didn’t truly capture the day, the people, or the spirit of things. You know what I mean - those sorts of photos which look static, where people look like they’re forcing themselves to smile, and the photos could almost be of anyone’s wedding.
Want to avoid all of that? Well, you need to choose Simon, then!
He is one of those rare photographers who can produce both artful, beautiful posed (but not stiff) shots AND ALSO capture the endless moments of laughter, fun, cheekiness, tears, love, new friendships etc, where you see your wedding from a hundred different angles that you couldn’t have seen on the day itself.
The posed shots were all absolutely beautiful and looked very natural. We did a little photoshoot, just the 3 of us, in Roath Park and the photos from that are simply stunning. Better even than I expected.
The TONE on Simon’s shots has to be mentioned too. I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to art, colour and photography and I was blown away by how Simon captured the beauty of that sunny October day. The light is golden and cold, the nighttime greenery harmonises beautifully with the men’s cravats, the beautiful jewel colours in everyone’s clothes sing on screen. The cigar smoke hangs in the air and makes everyone look like they have stepped out of Peaky Blinders. Truly magical.
Simon himself is imaginative and nerdy, funny and helpful, cheeky and personable. He is great at getting a smile out of everyone and giving shyer guests the confidence to ham up to the camera and play about with some of Simon’s awesome props (umbrellas! Lightsabers! Light stands!) Plus, Simon is a consummate professional. We felt in very safe hands at all times.
