We booked a photobooth and audio guestbook from Tom for our wedding day. I want to start this review by saying that we were really happy with the equipment, both the photobooth and audio guestbook are of high quality and the results were brilliant. We got unlimited prints for the photobooth with digital and physical copies, which were a great souvenir for our guests to keep and remember the day by. We initially reached out to Tom on WhatsApp, received plenty of information on the services and managed to book with ease. However, since booking we felt the communication from Tom really went downhill. Tom had changed from a personal WhatsApp to a business one without telling us, meaning a couple of queries we had sent months before the event were never responded to. By chance, we noticed the number had changed on his website so closer to the event we sent a message to check in. We still had to pick our personalisation for the photo booth and this caused us a bit of stress closer to the event because Tom was not responding without us having to follow up. On the day, one of Tom’s assistants arrived and set up both the photobooth and guestbook. Although we’re happy with the output, we felt like his assistant could have been more helpful when guests asked questions on how the photobooth worked and also brought a bit more energy, as he was often found just sitting on his phone at the side. Overall I think the service itself was good, and we’re really happy with the output, but communication could be so much better.Tom Groves Weddings Photo Booth Hire's reply:

We’re sorry to learn about the communication challenges you experienced after booking. To provide some context, your initial inquiry through our website unfortunately didn’t reach us due to a technical issue, which led to the follow-up on what appears to have been a personal number (we’ve double-checked and ensured only our business WhatsApp is listed moving forward). We typically don’t initiate contact after booking unless there are questions from you, and in this case, we didn’t receive any prior to your early balance payment. Our standard process involves reaching out 2-3 weeks before the event to discuss personalisation options, timings, and the final payment link, but the early payment shifted things slightly from our usual timeline. We sincerely apologise for any stress this caused and for the apparent delayed responses, we’ll review our systems to prevent similar issues in the future.
Regarding the attendant on the day, we’re grateful for your honesty. We understand that like most weddings yours may have had quieter moments during the photo booth operation, which led to some downtime where he was on his phone. His primary role is to assist guests with photo placement in the book, ensure everything runs smoothly without technical issues, and keep the area tidy, which we believe was handled well overall. That said, we apologise if this came across as unhelpful or lacking energy, and we’ll certainly speak with him to reinforce our expectations for engagement.

Amazing Photographer
From start to finish he has been amazing, very helpful. Very easy to book and guided us through everything and was only a message away if needed.
Day of the wedding can’t fault a thing helpful and professional.
For someone who really doesn’t like having photos taken he felt me feel at ease and not awkward all day.
Doing specific shots he was great had his list ready and go through them all in good timing so people weren’t just hanging around waiting for them for a long time some of the best organisation I have seen with a photographer.
My mum couldn’t stop raving about Tim and how he’s the most friendly, professional, helpful photographer she has come across at anyway wedding.
If our sneak peaks are anything to go by our final images are going to be amazing!
Would highly recommend to anyone who is getting married!
Ps we also had the Photo Booth and telephone from him again all this was set up and was perfect. -
