Jazzamuri – Live Music for Elegant Weddings in Sicily

Jazzamuri is a Sicily-based music ensemble formed by professional musicians with a solid jazz education and a shared artistic vision, created to move beyond the standard concept of an event or wedding band.

More than a musical service, Jazzamuri is a true artistic project with a recognisable sound identity, developed through original arrangements and a coherent musical path.

The project draws deeply from its Sicilian roots. Alongside jazz, swing and international vintage classics, Jazzamuri reworks songs from the Italian and Sicilian tradition, reshaping them into elegant, modern and distinctive arrangements. Each piece is carefully adapted to the ensemble’s sound, the balance between instruments and the desired mood of each stage of the event.

Artistic direction is led by guitarist Carmelo Venuto, while singer Silvia Puglisi manages client relations and event coordination. This dual approach guarantees musical consistency and close attention to the wishes of each couple, resulting in a truly tailored experience.

Live performances highlight the group’s jazz essence: a music language based on interaction, attentive listening and expressive freedom. The dialogue between horns, the rhythm section, solos and ensemble dynamics reflects an extensive background gained through concerts, festivals and high-level artistic contexts.

One of Jazzamuri’s defining elements is the presence of two female performers on stage: Silvia, an experienced lead vocalist, and Doris, trumpet player and singer. Doris moves between horn arrangements, vocal harmonies and solo sections, enriching the ensemble’s sound with constant movement and colour.

Jazzamuri’s musical identity is also captured in the album Pop Reloaded, available on Spotify, a project that clearly sets the ensemble apart from typical jazz bands for weddings.

Jazzamuri does not provide loud entertainment, disco-style lighting or animated hosting. The sound remains refined, balanced and never overpowering, while still being engaging. When appropriate, the band delivers dance sets inspired by genuine 1950s and 1960s vintage music, inviting guests to dance in a stylish and relaxed way.
