We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding at Carnoustie Golf Hotel on 28th March 2026. From our very first interaction, Ally was professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. His packages were very reasonably priced, and the questionnaire he provided beforehand was brilliant for capturing exactly what we wanted from our wedding evening.

As part of our invitations, we asked our guests to submit a song choice for the dance floor, and Ally made sure every single one was played. It was such a personal touch and really helped make the night special for everyone.

The dance floor was packed from start to finish, which is exactly what we had hoped for! Ally read the room perfectly, kept the energy high all night, and created an amazing atmosphere. He truly captured the love and happiness in the room and made sure every guest had a fantastic time.

Around eight months back i was doing a very thorough research to find a Dj for our wedding at Dundas Castle. In between the countless options one can find online, something caught my eye when going through Ally's webpage. Even if i did not stop my search right away, in the back of my mind his profile kept popping up. So i "listened to the voice" and wrote to him... he answered right back. I liked how friendly and informal he was and the fact that we could talk to each other like we were lifelong buddies.
He accepted our invitation to meet up in person beforehand and i was impressed of how much trouble he went through to come and meet us proprely.
I will not talk about his professional skills, which speak for themselves from all the awards he received these past few years, but i will talk about Ally the man behind the DJ: he has a heart of gold, he is funny, he puts your mind at ease and he treats you like his friend. And above everything, he is the definition of "Awesome". I do believe this man is capable of socializing with absolutely anyone, regardless of their profile, and he WILL go above and beyond to insure you will party the way YOU want to party. What an absolutely incredible dj! People are still talking about the songs and the vibe the next day. We got in contact very last minute for our wedding and ally still took the time to make sure everything was perfect and exactly what we asked for. I even had some stranger requests, such as a Pokemon song for my husband and he made it just fit completely into the night. A complete gentleman and a wonderful dj. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing a dj & would 100% hire him again. Thank you for making our wedding reception such a great evening and for keeping the dance floor alive all night!

An angel sent from Heaven with a fab sense of humour, listened to what we wanted for our night and absolutely nailed it. When I said “think Jurassic Park jungle but with 2010s uni night out vibe, he said “count me in”. Went above and beyond in the face of adversity and chaos (😬), worth every single bloody penny we spent without question or hesitation, and when I asked semi-last minute if he’d also do our ceremony to save me the stress, he made me feel so at ease. Nothing was too much trouble, I worried about nothing on the night. My only gripe is that I didn’t get quite enough Taylor, but he kept the rest of the guests happy🤷🏻‍♀️🤣💖

A DJ can truly make or break a wedding, and DJ Ally Bongo absolutely made ours unforgettable.

One of our closest friends, Jenny, summed it up perfectly after the wedding when she said, "Your DJ made the wedding – he was just amazing!" We couldn't agree more.

From our very first meeting, Ally was professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in making our day as special as possible. He took the time to meet with us on several occasions, carefully listening to what we wanted and ensuring every detail reflected our vision. Nothing was too much trouble, and his passion for creating memorable celebrations shines through in everything he does.

What really sets Ally apart is the personal touch he brings. During the evening, he introduced himself to our guests, visited every table, and encouraged everyone to write down song requests. He even offered a bottle of bubbles for the best dancer, (well done Dave Dave Dov 😆) which got everyone excited and involved.

Guests of all ages commented on how engaging, friendly, and fun he was throughout the entire night.
We were lucky enough to have the illusion dance floor, and it looked absolutely incredible. Not only was it a stunning focal point in the room, but Ally kept it changing throughout the evening, creating a magical atmosphere that had everyone—from the youngest guests to the oldest—on the dance floor all night long.

One of our favourite touches was when Ally asked us to choose special songs for members of our wedding party. It was such a thoughtful surprise and a wonderful way to celebrate the amazing friends and family who shared our day with us. Those moments meant so much and created memories we'll cherish forever.

The venue itself looked spectacular thanks to the beautiful uplighting and the iconic MR & MRS sign. Everything was presented perfectly and added an elegant finishing touch to our reception.
Most importantly, Ally didn't just provide music—he created an atmosphere. He brought energy, fun, laughter, and genuine warmth to our wedding. He instinctively knew how to read the room, keep the dance floor full, and make every guest feel included.

I can honestly say, on behalf of both myself and my husband, as well as every one of our guests, that Ally played a huge part in making our wedding the incredible day it was. His dedication, professionalism, and kindness are second to none.

The original plan for our wedding was to have a ceilidh followed by a Spotify playlist. However we changed our minds and decided to go with a DJ instead, BEST decision we made for the wedding!! We met with a few DJs but after about a minute with Ally there was no doubt he was going to be the DJ for us. His professionalism and flexibility was second to none, he was fantastic at helping out with the Ceilidh band and letting us really customise our experience. Any request we had he made it work, the mix of tunes he put together based on our taste in music was PERFECT! He even treated us to some extra tunes on the night wa she didn't have to do, this made the end of the night truly special! The energy he brought to the room meant the dancefloor was never empty. He took requests from our guests (he asked us before if this was ok, which we approved) which also allowed everyone to enjoy the tunes as it gave an opportunity for others to hear their favourite music. He allowed us to customise the whole evening to suit our needs and tailored everything from the music to the lights perfectly. We cannot recommend him highly enough, book this man for your wedding, you won't be disappointed!!!

Dj Ally Bongo was just fantastic. I had him play at my hen do, and then we had him for our wedding reception. From our first interaction with him, we were put at ease and knew we were in safe hands! taking the time to have an initial call with us to really understand the vibe we wanted for our reception. He had everyone, of all ages, up on the dance floor all night, and all our guests are still talking about how amazing the DJ was!

Honestly can't reccommend Ally enough. We had him as our dj and our photographer along with his brother Chris. These two made our day perfect from start to finish, they went above and beyond for us in every way I cannot find the words to describe how greatful we are for them. They made not just myself and the groom feel relax and at ease but the whole family and every single wedding guest! They guided us through our whole day and gave me the best pep talks👌Due to the boys having a bit of a late night the night before and being a bit tender keeping the dance floor going was a bit of a mission, but a mission Ally completed, Our day was perfect thanks to you both❤️ We will forever be greatful.

What a night! We couldn’t have asked for more, honestly.

From the start, Ally has been an absolute gem to interact with. Nothing was ever too much, and he was so amazing at guiding us through the process. He came with great suggestions and always made us feel validated and heard. He’s not only a great DJ, but a great communicator.

The night went so well, our dance floor was NEVER empty. The dance off and Ceilidh were amazing additions and had loads of people up and involved. But, rest assured, Ally is super perspective about who wants to be up and who doesn’t, and is naturally great at making everyone feel comfortable.

We had so many guests come up to us specifically just to say how great our DJ was, and how great the music was.

You don’t get a second chance to do a replay of your daughter’s wedding, everything has to be perfect, first time, Ally bongo dj services were bang on, fully engaging with all guests to maximise everyone’s enjoyment, but at the same time identifying those who would prefer not to be centre stage
