Hi! I'm Nicole, and along with my husband Jordan, we started The Halfway Horse in November 2024. We've now been trading for just over a year, with a packed calendar of weddings and events under our belts - and we're only just getting started.

Our beautifully converted horsebox bar isn't just about pouring great drinks (although we do love a good cocktail!). We're also trained baristas, with a proper coffee machine onboard. So whether it's espressos to kick-start the day or espresso martinis to keep the dance floor buzzing, we've got you covered.

What We Offer:

Cash Bar

A cash bar is a great option for bigger events like festivals or large celebrations. With this setup, we take a deposit up front from you, and then your guests simply pay for their own drinks as they go throughout the event. Simple, straightforward, and perfect for keeping things easy to manage.

Set a Limit (Pre-Pay)

Want to treat your guests but keep things within budget? Setting a limit is the way to go. You decide how much you'd like to put behind the bar, and your guests can enjoy drinks up to that amount. After that, the bar switches to a cash bar.

We can also run a ticket system if you'd prefer – that way, everyone gets the same number of drinks on the house before it switches over.

Open Bar

Feeling generous? An open bar means you're covering drinks for the whole event – and your guests will love you for it! We can either work out a price per head in advance or simply keep a tab running and settle it at the end, totally up to you.

Before we even get to the real party, let's talk about the drinks that set the tone - welcome drinks, table wine, toast fizz, and maybe even a cocktail hour (or two)!

We know planning a wedding can be a bit of a whirlwind, so we're here to make your drinks one less thing to stress about. Let us take care of it all - from the first cheers to the final dance.

Welcome Drinks

Let's kick things off in style. We can serve up a mix of cocktails, prosecco, beer — whatever suits you best. Want something a little more personal or unique? Just share your ideas, and we'll help bring them to life.

One thing we're really passionate about: making sure everyone feels included. So, unless you tell us otherwise, we'll always make sure your non-drinking guests get something just as special. No sad jugs of warm fruit juice left on the side - we're talking refreshing, great-looking non-alcoholic options that still feel like a treat.

Table Wine

We can supply all your table wine too, and you get to decide how much you'd like to provide - for example, half a bottle per guest. And here's the best bit: once it's on the table, it stays there. No whisking bottles away halfway through the meal. It's your wine, and your guests can enjoy it at their own pace.

Toast Drinks

Those emotional, teary, laughter-filled moments deserve a proper toast. Whether it's prosecco, cava, mimosas, or something else entirely, we'll make sure everyone's got a glass in hand when the time comes to raise it.

Cocktail Hour

Not to be confused with welcome drinks, cocktail hour happens after the wedding breakfast and sets the tone for the evening ahead (aka: the party). Want to go for a Mr & Mrs package with a couple of your favourite cocktails? We'll line them up and get the vibe just right.

Coffee Hour

Not feeling cocktails? No problem. How about a little pick-me-up instead? We can turn cocktail hour into coffee hour, serving fresh, barista-made hot drinks to give your guests a boost before hitting the dance floor.
