I’m Dulcie, an English wedding planner based between West Yorkshire and my home in Malcesine, Lake Garda and I only plan weddings in Italy.
Imagine saying I do beneath the Italian sunshine, surrounded by beautiful scenery, good food, flowers, laughter and the people you love most. Now imagine having someone beside you who genuinely cares about every little detail along the way.
That’s what I believe wedding planning should be.
I specialise in creating beautiful, relaxed and truly personal weddings in Italy for couples from the UK. My own love affair with Lake Garda began over 20 years ago, and I feel incredibly lucky to now have a home here and to spend much of my time in the place I love so much.
For me, planning your wedding isn’t simply about finding a venue and booking a few suppliers. It’s about getting to know you, understanding what matters to you and creating a wedding that feels like your wedding, rather than something taken from a package.
I deliberately take on only a small number of weddings each year because I believe you deserve more than a wedding planner who simply ticks boxes and moves on to the next couple. I’m there throughout the journey helping you find the right venue, liaising with trusted Italian suppliers, guiding you through the legal paperwork, creating your flowers and styling, arranging the little details and being there on the day itself.
And because I live between the UK and Italy, you don’t have to feel like you’re planning your wedding from the other side of the world. We can meet in person in the UK, I can visit venues and suppliers for you in Italy, and you can contact me directly throughout your planning by WhatsApp, email or phone including evenings when you’ve finished work.
I personally handle your Italian wedding paperwork and work closely with trusted local suppliers and people I have built relationships with over many years. I’m there to help take away the worry and make the whole experience feel exciting rather than overwhelming.
On your wedding day, I’m not simply there to check that the ceremony starts on time. I’m there throughout the day, quietly taking care of the timings, suppliers, little details and anything unexpected that may arise, so that you can relax, enjoy yourselves and be completely present in the moment.
My husband Nathan also works alongside me as a wedding photographer, making us a small husband-and-wife team who genuinely love what we do. Our son Etienne is now also part of our little family team, creating beautiful wedding content and capturing those extra moments you may otherwise miss.
I’m drawn to natural Italian beauty, romantic settings, beautiful flowers, rustic charm, good food, relaxed celebrations and weddings that feel like Italy not simply a British wedding transported into the sunshine.
Whether you dream of a romantic castle overlooking Lake Garda, a rustic celebration surrounded by olive trees and mountains, or an intimate Italian wedding with your favourite people, I’ll help you create something that feels natural, relaxed and wonderfully you.

She helped us choose the perfect hotel, sorted out advice on flights, and took care of every little detail, from the beautiful flowers to even arranging an ice cream for us on the day. Just because our wedding was small, she never once cut corners. Every part of the day felt just as special, thoughtful, and beautifully planned as a large wedding.
Nathan, our photographer, was absolutely amazing. He made us feel so relaxed and comfortable, which was perfect because neither of us is naturally confident in front of the camera. He captured every moment so naturally, and we genuinely enjoyed every second.

Everything we dreamed of and more!
Every single detail was perfect. From our amazing make-up artist to the table décor, flower arrangements and all the little touches in between, everything was exactly what we wanted and somehow even better than we could have imagined.
Having Dulcie there throughout the day was an absolute godsend. We didn’t have to think about timings, logistics or whether everything was going to plan, we could completely switch off, relax and just enjoy every second of our wedding day. Knowing she had everything under control took away so much of the stress, and that alone was priceless.
Nathan, our photographer, was absolutely brilliant too. He was so laid-back and made us feel completely comfortable from the start. Within just a few days we had a huge selection of beautifully edited photos, followed not long after by our full album and we LOVE them. The photos are so candid and natural and capture the feeling of the day perfectly. Looking through them genuinely takes us straight back.
Etienne, our content creator, was like a silent ninja! Half the time we were barely aware he was there, which meant everything he captured felt completely natural and unforced. Watching the clips back is almost like being a fly on the wall at our own wedding and getting to experience all those little moments again.
We honestly couldn’t have done any of it without Dulcie. She took what we had imagined for our wedding and turned it into something even more magical than we could have hoped for. We were able to simply be present, enjoy ourselves and soak up every moment, knowing everything else was taken care of.
We will be forever grateful to Dulcie, Nathan and Etienne for making our special day so unbelievably perfect. If you’re considering working with Dulcie, do it! We would recommend her in a heartbeat. ❤️
