Hi, I’m Liana!
I’m a mum, wife, drama school graduate, part-time special needs teacher and celebrant — so life is usually pretty full, but I love it that way!
I’ve always loved people. I love spending time with friends and family, good music, a good singalong and, generally, being around people and having a laugh.
I first fell in love with celebrancy after having a celebrant at my own wedding. We had music, live sing-alongs, readings we’d chosen because we genuinely loved them, lots of family involvement and, most importantly, true stories about us. It was personal, relaxed and felt completely like us. I remember thinking how lovely it was to have a ceremony that actually reflected the people getting married.
Alongside being a celebrant, I’m also a part-time special needs teacher. I love the balance of doing both, and it means I’m always very happy when a midweek wedding comes my way — although weekends and school holidays are pretty great too!
My drama school background means I’ve always loved performing and storytelling, while being a special needs teacher has made inclusivity and accessibility really important to me. I want everyone to feel comfortable, included and able to be themselves.
For me, it’s not about creating a big, emotional “moment” just for the sake of it. It’s about creating something that feels genuine and personal to you — whether that’s funny, relaxed, sentimental, chaotic, full of music, or a mixture of all of those things.
Ultimately, I just love people, I love a good story, and I feel very lucky that I get to bring those things together in what I do. 🤍
