Hi, I’m Robyn, co-founder of Salters Events.
I’m usually the first voice you’ll hear and the person guiding you through every step of your wedding catering journey, from your first enquiry to the final plate on the day itself.
Ian and I run Salters together as a family business, and for me, weddings are all about creating a calm, thoughtful experience where couples feel completely looked after. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, so my job is to make the catering side feel effortless. Clear communication, careful organisation and lots of reassurance along the way.
I love getting to know each couple properly. Their story, their style, the atmosphere they want to create. No two weddings should feel the same, and I take real pride in helping design something that feels personal and genuinely “them”.
On the day, you’ll usually find me quietly coordinating behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly so you can relax and enjoy every moment with your guests. When couples tell me they didn’t have to worry about a thing, that’s the biggest compliment.
Food brings people together, and being trusted with such an important day is something I never take lightly. It’s a privilege to play even a small part in those memories.
Hi, I’m Ian, co-founder and food creative lead at Salters Events.
Food has always been how I tell stories. For me, wedding catering isn’t just about feeding guests, it’s about creating moments people remember long after the day itself. The first canapé that makes everyone stop and smile. The main course that gets the table talking. The late-night dish that feels like a hug at the end of the evening.
That’s the part I love most.
I design every Salters menu from scratch, working closely with each couple to create something that feels personal to them and perfectly suited to their day. Seasonal ingredients, bold flavours and beautiful presentation are always at the heart of what we do. Everything is cooked by our own team of chefs, never bought in or off the shelf, because quality really matters to me.
My background is hands-on, and you’ll usually find me in the kitchen with the team, tasting, tweaking and making sure every plate that leaves us is something we’re proud to put our name to. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to food, but that attention to detail is what ensures your wedding meal feels truly special.
Robyn and I run Salters together as a family business, and having catered our own wedding, we understand just how important it is to trust the people behind the scenes. That’s why we treat every wedding with the same care and thoughtfulness as if it were our own.
There’s nothing better than seeing a room full of guests enjoying themselves, plates clean and smiles everywhere. Knowing we’ve helped create that atmosphere is what makes this job such a privilege.
