If I could give minus stars I would, they ruined our wedding day. We paid over £900 for the hire of the routemaster and a drinks package onboard. Booked to arrive at 12.55pm, by 1.10pm the bus hadn’t arrived and we hadn’t received any contact from them. My wedding party began calling them and were told the bus was in traffic and would be 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we spoke to RM again and was advised another 20 minutes, this continued. After over an hour a bus did arrive, but a far cry from what was booked. It was a dirty and badly maintained stagecoach-style bus supplied by another company. It was a complete embarrassment to put my guests on it, but at over an hour late left on the side of a road in the rain I had no choice but to put my guests on there to get to the reception. Upon arrival at my venue, I was advised by my the team there that the original bus had arrived and delivered our drinks package of cans of beer to the doors of the venue, completely unprofessional. Whilst not only totally inconvenient and embarassing, the bus issues threw out our entire wedding day timeline, impacting our food service and entertainment, I now have an additional £2,500 bill to pay having to rectify these details on the day. I have contacted RM Buses for a full refund, which they have refused and offered up a refund for the drinks package only as a “good will gesture”. RM buses single handedly ruined our wedding day and can’t even do the right thing and provide a refund after the fact, instead just stating there terms and conditions. There argument is essentially that the T&Cs cover them for not arriving on time, and they also cover them for just not arriving at all and sending another company with a completely different vehicle in there place. They have then signed off the email advising they are now closed until mid December so they haven’t even got the decency to deal with such a failure in a responsible manner. Do not book this company under any circumstances!!!

An absolutely wonderful service! We hired RM's lovely vintage Routemaster bus for our wedding and everyone loved it! Debra was brilliant and provided me with all of the options for our hire. The bus arrived in good time and the driver was great. Debra was happy to arrange a specific scenic route via Didsbury to avoid the ring road on the way to Stockport Town Hall. We're so glad we took this route as the personalised blinds got such a wonderful reception from passing motorists and pedestrians! Debra was lovely and took some absolutely amazing photos which I will treasure and a video which brings back great memories! We ordered a drinks package which our guests really enjoyed and we had our own playlist for the journey. So many guests said how much they liked the bus! We absolutely loved it too and would highly recommend RM Buses to anyone planning a unique wedding!

We hired RM Buses to take our guests from the church to the venue for our wedding day a few weeks ago. It was expensive but we thought it would be a fun experience for our guests.

I tried to advise and ask what route they were going to take prior to the wedding but I was told they would check the route beforehand. They obviously didn’t. The (scruffy) driver kept taking the wrong turns and my mum tried to tell Debra from RM Buses the correct way but she just stared ahead and ignored her while the driver took the wrong turn again and again, getting further away from the venue.

A journey that should have taken 17 minutes took 45 minutes. I had paid for an acoustic guitar singer and miniature golf entertainment but most guests didn’t have time to experience them before the wedding breakfast.

Fortunately my husband and I were not on the bus and went in a car to the venue, but we had planned a big arrival after our guests got to the venue. We were supposed to drive up the front in our car with everyone having drinks in the grounds. We couldn’t do this due to how unnecessarily long the journey took.

When I emailed to Debra after the wedding expressing my disappointment, my email was ignored. I sent a follow up email and that was ignored too. Such a shame. A genuine apology or at least an acknowledgment would have gone a long way.

She did send a rude reply to my mum and said we were lucky to get photographs with the bus as that hadn’t been mentioned previously on emails. Isn’t half the point of getting an expensive red double bus for the photos?!

Fortunately, all my other suppliers were excellent so we had a fantastic day. RM Buses are the only wedding suppliers we used that we couldn’t recommend.

RM buses came up top trumps to complement our hackney cabs for our London transport themed wedding cars.
They arrived promptly and the bus was perfect for additional seating for enjoying canapes and reception drinks.
