If you're looking for someone who is as lovely as they are talented, stop searching, you've found them in Sue.
After Sue made the most incredible cake for my grandma's 80th birthday, we knew there was no one else we'd trust with our engagement and wedding cakes. From start to finish, she was an absolute sweetheart and a joy to work with.
Our engagement cake was beautiful, so we already had high expectations—but somehow Sue still managed to exceed them. Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and quickly became a talking point with our guests. So many people commented on how beautiful it looked, and even more were raving about how delicious it tasted! We chose white chocolate and raspberry, classic vanilla, and lemon tiers, and every single flavour was incredible.
Sue also created the most amazing personalised cake toppers, which were such a special touch and made the cake feel even more *us*.
Sue is genuinely one of the kindest, most talented people you'll meet, and it's obvious how much love and care she puts into everything she creates. We couldn't have been happier and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a cake that's every bit as delicious as it is beautiful. Can not recommend enough
Sue was amazing throughout, so helpful and so creative!
She was able to help with the dietary needs we had and designed something that was unique to us!
Her communication was excellent

We are so pleased we chose Sue at The Crafty Baker to create our wedding cake. Sue was excellent to work with throughout the whole process, helping us to create our dream cake. We chose a 3-tiered cake with red velvet, vanilla and lemon sponges - all were delicious. Due to the hot weather, Sue recommended we had a white chocolate ganache finish which worked perfectly. We had so many compliments about the cake, both for how it looked and how it tasted. Sue was friendly, approachable and communication was excellent throughout. Thank you so much for everything, we would highly recommend The Crafty Baker. -

Fantastic service, wonderful cake

Sue created us the wedding cake of our dreams!
She was lovely and during our first meeting we were able to sit down with her, sample all her yummy cakes and have a really in depth conversation about the ideas that we had. Sue was amazing at offering lots of advice and afterwards sent us draft images of our potential cake. She kept us informed and updated the whole time, including just before the wedding where we changed things slightly due to the heat. The finished cake fit our venue and wedding perfectly and didn’t just look beautiful but also tasted amazing.
Sue was also able to make some individual cupcakes for our guests with dietary requirements so no one missed out.
Our cake really was a work of art and we could not recommend Sue enough!

We highly recommend the Crafty Baker! Sue was very responsive and friendly from our first contact. We had a tasting session to choose our flavours which was fun and informal and she offered honest advice. She sent us a design for the cake based on our brief which allowed us to visualise it and when we saw the cake on the day it was bang on! It was stunning and exactly what we wanted. Not only that, it tasted amazing and we got so many comments from the guests on how tasty it was!The Crafty Baker's reply:

Sue is such a wonderful person, and a real pleasure to work with on our wedding, she made our wedding cake this May and from the first she was very keen to get everything right for our day. Getting to have a taste of the many fabulous flavours available was great and helped us pick our perfect combination. Sue had many great ideas to create a cake tat was just what we had in mind, in fact, better than what we had in mind. We met Sue at a Wedding Show at Shuttleworth where we were able to have a chat with her and to take home a sample of her cakes and honestly they were so lovely, we knew we had to have her make our wedding cake!! We wanted cupcakes for ease in giving to our guests so when we had our tasting session we spoke about what we wanted and tasted all the amazing flavours!! Sue was so helpful at the tasting session and we bonded over how much love we had for dogs!! I had seen so many pictures online of people having their dogs at their wedding but knew that we couldn’t have ours there so we wanted a way to bring her with us. Sue was able to bring to life an idea I had and made a sugar model of our baby Kay just from a few pictures I sent and it was so realistic!! (pics of the model of Kay and a pic of real life Kay for reference). Even after the wedding when I had a slight mishap with the model as her tail snapped off, Sue was happy to mend her and to slightly move the tail round so we could display it in our house going forward.
Could not recommend Sue enough, our venue was outside of her usual area but her pricing of extra travel distance was so reasonable so don’t let that put you off! She is so amazing and her cakes taste delicious😍The Crafty Baker's reply:

The most beautiful (and delicious!) dairy-free wedding cake
We weren’t even sure we were going to have a wedding cake until we met Sue at a wedding fair. She was so warm and genuine that we booked a tasting on the spot, and we’re so glad we did!
Sue invited us into her home for the tasting and had made a full selection of dairy-free cakes just for me (I have a dairy allergy). Every single one was delicious, and from the moment we sat down, she made us feel like part of her family.
She designed our cake based on our chat, and it was absolutely perfect, stunning to look at and completely dairy-free without compromising on flavour. So many of our guests commented on how good it was.
It’s clear Sue absolutely loves what she does, and she puts her heart into it. If we ever need a cake again, we’ll be going straight to her and we’ve already started recommending her to friends.
