I found Rachel on Hitched and loved her work. I had never had my makeup done professionally, and as I've gotten older I've worn less and less makeup. The idea of walking down the aisle, and not looking or feeling like myself, was making me anxious and making me question whether booking a makeup artist would be the right choice for me. When I found Rachel's instagram page and scrolled through, I felt slightly more confident in booking a makeup artist.
From the beginning through emails, Rachel was kind, professional and communicated effectively. Once meeting her for my trial, I instantly felt all anxiety leave and knew I could trust her to do my makeup for my wedding. Rachel was able to talk me through everything, listened to any feedback and made changes quickly.
On my actual wedding day she was fabulous and didn't add any stress to the day, I had someone else present to do hair and she was also very good at working alongside her so that everybody got their job done with ease. I also must commend her on working with my mum, who had not put a full face of makeup on herself since she was 18, she loved the experience and also loved her makeup.

Rachel was the perfect make-up artist for me. She was relaxed, friendly and the most calming influence during the wedding morning. Rachel and her two assistants arrived promptly, set up quickly and were so energetic for the time of the morning! Rachel picked up on cues that weren't said directly to make sure I was comfortable throughout the morning, that my bridesmaids brought me things I was looking for - and helped keep questions and tasks fielded away from me during the morning. I loved the look Rachel created for me, she checked in during different stages of hair and makeup to check I was still feeling confident and happy with it. Everyone looked beautiful. -

Rachel was professional, friendly throughout all our interactions, has great talent and knowledge. I went for my make up trial for my wedding, and we went through how things would be set up on the big day which helped me keep calm as I knew what to expect. Went through all the products and different colour palettes.
Had lots of knowledge on hair and makeup and choosing the correct tones for my skin. She listened to what I would like and came up with some amazing ideas. We had a great laugh.
Wedding day - it was so lovely to have her there whilst getting ready. Makeup and hair was amazing for us all. She brought along some extra help to assist all the bridal party get hair and makeup ready. Amazing makeup artist
Rachel is a great makeup artist. She did my makeup perfectly. I wanted my makeup to look natural and she did exactly as I wanted. I would 100% recommend. She was quick to respond and took time during the trial to make sure everything was as I wanted.Rachel Eveline Hair and Makeup's reply:

Rachel - to put it simply, I don’t think I could’ve found a better make up artist! Not just the art of make up itself, but the supportiveness, the kindness and the flexibility that Rachel showed was unmatched.
I don’t know how she kept her cool with me at first because I was so unsure of what I wanted and details kept changing, but Rachel was super compassionate and supportive, I couldn’t have been in better hands.
I very rarely wear make up and Rachel was very understanding at my trial in August when I wanted to change a few things up on the big day in December. From start to finish, Rachel was not difficult to approach or get in touch with - Rachel is by far the best choice for hair and make up on your special day.
There were 11 of us having hair and make up done on the day and Rachel organised everyone, made a detailed timeline, bought in extra support to make the morning run smoothly and made sure that I had everything I needed in my touch up kit to get me through the day. My make up was light, I could barely tell it was on. It lasted all day and I didn’t even need to use my touch up kit. For someone who doesn’t wear make up (and certainly doesn’t know how to apply it!) this look and feel was absolutely amazing.
Rachel kept giving me amazing tips and tricks throughout our morning together, she worked really well with my photographer to coordinate the best getting ready shots and she stayed with me right until I was about to walk down the aisle.
Do yourself favour and hire Rachel for your big day - I promise you, you won’t regret it! XRachel Eveline Hair and Makeup's reply:

Rachel was fantastic from start to finish. She made sure from our first call that she knew what I was looking for and was always really responsive and booked in my trial with lots of time for me to organise family and my bridesmaid.
Rachel was so relaxing on the morning of even with not great lighting to deal with and made my bridesmaid and I feel really relaxed on the day. Joy to have her be part of it and for a bride who is awful at doing her own make up the look felt like me and gave me tips and colours I can still use in future. Lots of compliments on the dance floor as well about how my eyeshadow made my eyes shine all evening!

Start to finish she is an absolute legend. Really kind and friendly, really uplifting! She even gave me skin care recommendations which made my skin glow! Fully recommend, she's amazing! Makeup stayed all day (14+ hours) and my hair made it to the dance floor!Rachel Eveline Hair and Makeup's reply:

Rachel was amazing throughout the whole process! From originally booking she was very responsive in her communications and was very thorough with info when it came to the trial. She did mine and my bridesmaids hair and make up everyone complemented us all day! If you want more natural make up rather than glam, then Rachel is the girl for you!
