I originally found Lori when I put a post on a Facebook group asking for recs based on what I wanted; Vintage, 50s, winged eyeliner and red lip. A few people recommended Lori so I got in touch via Instagram. Lori was professional and approachable and responsive in messages; she sent over her price list that was reasonable, and explained she had started offering hair as a service for brides also. A couple of messages back and forth and I booked Lori, and a trial a few months later. The trial cost was reasonable, and we spent most of the day together doing hair and make up. The make up prompt was easy; the hair prompt was “wood elf”😅 but Lori somehow understood what I meant and rolled with it and it was stunning. We talked through a couple of tweaks for hair and make up that would be applied on the day and she sent me a PDF of what we’d discussed. On the day, Lori fit right in with me and my girls, she made everyone feel at ease, we had a lovely laid back day (4pm ceremony) but Lori had a loose schedule in place so that we had a timeframe. The bridesmaids all looked stunning, Lori was able to help my sister with her hair too and all the bridesmaids said what a lovely woman Lori was! We all felt right at ease❤️ -

From the moment I got in touch with Lori, I knew she was going to be amazing. I booked Lori about a year out from my wedding, having never had my makeup done nor being someone who wears makeup very often. I was quite anxious about not looking like me and a lot of the makeup artists I had seen were very heavy on the glam look, but Lori's makeup portfolio had such a wide range of beautiful faces and happy brides.
Her communication from the very moment I reached out to the day of the wedding has been on point and fantastic, any questions I had were answered quickly, any ideas I sent over were discussed and any concerns I had about the day or my skin were taken care of.
I have sensitive and combination skin, as well as uneven skin tones and scarring - so I was concerned about how the makeup would sit or look on my skin, but Lori made sure all the products we used would be safe and wouldn't aggravate my skin. During our trial, we walked through the ideas I had, what my dress looked like, what I did and didn't want and the end result was exactly what I wanted - she even did my hair for me so I could visualise what I'd look like! (Lori's hair styling is also amazing!)
The day of the wedding arrived and Lori got through my MOB, MOG, myself and three bridesmaids without breaking a sweat or having to rush - she made sure they were all comfortable, listened to what they wanted, how they would normally do their makeup and made them look amazing without cutting any corners. Every one of them has told me that they loved their makeup and my MOG has even said she'll go to Lori if she needs her makeup done!
My makeup was exactly how I wanted it, and stayed put from 10:30am until 1am the next morning, through crying for most of the ceremony, sweating through dancing and a warm reception hall - yet wasn't a hassle to take off at the end. (Some cleansing oil and a double cleanse was more than enough to take it off and into bed!)
Lori is an amazing makeup artist, and if you'd like to have the perfect look to top off a perfect day - book her! -

Lori was amazing!! From the start of the process she was fantastic, and during my trial spent a whole afternoon perfecting my makeup (including trying on every shade of lipstick and starting with a natural look but ending up layering shades of bronze and blush!). On the day she was brilliant- such a relaxed and calm influence letting me have my morning my way (even when my mum lost her car key!). My makeup was beautiful and made me feel like a princess all day, and my bridesmaids all asked for something different from natural to glam- Lori gave them all their perfect looks. The make up still looked perfect at the end of the ceilidh …and the next morning when I forgot to wash it off!! Thank you so much again! -

everything was perfect! Lori was incredibly professional and helped me out in all the steps of the wedding preparation to make sure I was ready and perfect on the day of the wedding! super recommended! -

Lori really made me look like a princess and feel like a million dollars - and had my bridesmaids and mum glowing all day long✨️
She was so incredibly kind and flexible with our chaotic morning schedule, making sure everyone felt comfortable and looked beautiful for the day ahead. The make up lasted all day and even survived a few (happy) tears🤭🥰
If you want a makeup artist who is as lovely as she is talented, look no further, Lori was a perfect addition to our morning💕 -

Lori was brilliant all the way through. Our trial came out beautifully but there were elements that didn't feel like me. Lori was incredibly responsive to that and I felt like she hit on exactly what I wanted on the wedding day. She is clearly very sensitive and can tailor her skills perfectly to different needs and requirements. My bridal party was also diverse in terms of skin tones (including Indian and Japanese) and everyone's make up looked beautiful and very natural. Thank you Lori! -

Lori was amazing to work with, she made myself and my bridesmaids feel comfortable throughout the whole experience and the morning was a lot of fun having her around! The makeup was exactly what we wanted, and she absolutely nailed the hair brief. I would 10/10 recommend Lori to other brides! -

Lori was absolutely incredible to work with in the run up to and on the day of my wedding. She was communicative, friendly, fun and easy going. I really appreciated all of the additional communication around timings, and how relaxed everything was the morning of the wedding. The makeup for me, my mother in law and my maid of honour was absolutely gorgeous and lasted all day (and night!)
I can't recommend Lori enough- she was really amazing! -

Having Lori to do my hair and makeup was honestly such a joy!
The hair and makeup trial was so much fun - a big chunk of the day just having a laugh and a chat while also getting pampered! I had a vague idea of what I was looking for and Lori really helped with the vision, while also being happy with making any changes.
On the big day, Lori turned up bright and early with lots of great energy. The whole morning was really relaxed and she really helped calmed my nerves. She made me feel absolutely beautiful and it was a lovely way to spend the wedding morning. I'm so grateful to Lori and in awe of her talent!
