Without a doubt would recommend Skylar for make up and hair, especially for east asian women! I have enlisted her wonderful services 3 times now - for an engagement photoshoot, wedding registry and wedding celebration day (for which she also did hair and make up for my sister, aunt and mum) and can say each time she was absolutely fantastic and was able to create the perfect look for each event based on the occasion and my outfit. Always very nerve racking and stressful trying to find someone who can work with east asian features and hair so it was such a relief to have found Skylar - will definitely use her for any events I have in the future. She was also able to create appropriate looks for my younger sister in her 20s and mum/aunt in their 60s/70s that looked natural in person but also showed up well in photos. For someone who is not used to wearing make up a lot I felt like she made me look special but still like myself and it felt comfortable to wear all day and stayed put even throughout rain and a lot of ugly crying during the speeches! Her services are very reasonably priced and she was able to travel to both my house in the morning and venue for touch ups. Her communication is fantastic, she is very professional and so helpful to have both hair and make up by one brilliant person! She was able to do lovely loose waves for my engagement photoshoot and complex updos with accessories for my registry and ceremony with no problems - I showed her the hair accessories on the morning of and she created something on the spot. Even figured out how to sort my odd cowlick fringe into lovely face framing pieces for the first time - something which even hairdressers have not previously been able to battle! In conclusion - book Skylar and you will have no regrets.
