Amazing wedding venue
This really is an amazing wedding venue. From our very first meeting with Bre, Graham and Lorna we were made to feel like the most important people in the world.
The location and setting are beautiful: a large country house and grounds in the gorgeous North Wales countryside. You really are getting three venues in one with all the barns, gardens and marquees.
If you book for a weekend wedding as we did, you get the run of the venue from Thursday to decorate the place to your own tastes. No fixed choices for the venue decoration, it really is up to you to make the wedding day your own (with loads of help from Lorna of course!).
The candle lit dinner on the Friday was fantastic and the whole weekend ran without a hitch. No need to check your watch to make sure that you are on time for the wedding breakfast as Lorna will do this for you and move you and your guests on. They really do take the stress out of the day.
So many of our guests have commented on how wonderful the venue is and what a lovely day they had. Thank you Bre, Graham and Lorna for a wonderful time. Wonderful wedding venue
We had our wedding reception at Pentre Mawr in July 14. It was an absolutely wonderful place and we cannot thank Bre, Graham, Connor and the team enough for everything that they did for us and our guests.
Everything was fantastic - from the first day that we visited Pentre Mawr to the wedding day itself. We and all of our guests had the best time - the setting, the food the night before, the accommodation (great hot tubs and the safari tents were a real talking point!) and all of the little touches - we couldn't fault anything. Bre and Graham were wonderful to work with and always went out of their way to help with anything we needed.
Having the weekend at Pentre Mawr also made it extra special. The meal the night before was wonderful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It was a great opportunity to spend time with close friends and family, who had travelled to celebrate with us.
Bre and Graham had so many great ideas and suggestions and if there was a way to make something happen they found it. We were originally a bit concerned about having to organise the catering and bar ourselves - but it wasn’t a problem at all. In fact, it helped to make everything that bit more special as it gave us the opportunity to have exactly what we wanted. Bre and Graham have a full list of excellent supplier recommendations. We chose to use these for our catering and for the bar and were very pleased, particularly as they are used to working well together at Pentre Mawr.

Our incredible wedding weekend
A message to anyone who is thinking of booking their wedding at Pentre Mawr Country House...
Don't hesitate. Book it now.
Bre, Graham, Connor and the team at Pentre Mawr are so welcoming and supportive, they go above and beyond to make your day run smoothly and it's all in the setting of the beautiful Welsh countryside.
From the moment we set the date, Bre has been on hand to answer any questions or queries. The venue itself is gorgeous, but you are given free reign to decorate the blank canvas of the marquee any way you would like.
The week building up to the big day was stress free and we were treated like royalty by the team.
The list of 'perfect partners' provided inspiration for the suppliers for our wedding day and we had bautiful flowers provided by Haf's Floral Designs.
The accomodation was amazing and food just wonderful from the meal the night before the wedding to breakfast the morning afterwards.
It was lovely to have all of our wedding guests staying on site too.
The little surprises for us through the week and the day itself just topped it all off... I won't give too much away!!!

Our AMAZING wedding weekend!
We knew immediately that this was the perfect venue for our wedding ; and we weren't disappointed. Our wedding weekend was amazing, better than perfect; The house , grounds, lodges , walled garden cottage & gardeners cottages are all beautiful ...but it is really Bre , Graham & all the team who made the experience truly out of this world . The quality of food is always outstanding & nothing is too much trouble. All or wedding guests loved the place ( age range 17yrs - 92 yrs) The surprises & personal touches that Bre & Graham managed to pull off on the day blew us away. You just wouldn't get this anywhere else. Forget wedding packages, talk to Bre and Graham and they will provide a wedding experience unlike anybody else's. Also we would like to say Haf, the local florist (recommended by Bre) decorated our day beautifully with a stunning collection of flowers. wedding weekend
What a venue and what a beautiful weekend we had at this venue. We had our wedding here last September and we couldn't have wished for anything more. Bre, Graham and gang made all our family and friends welcome and nothing was too much trouble. From the very high standard clamping tents to the gorgeous homemade food and don't forget the breath taking views of the Clwydian range.
We would highly recommend this venue and not forgetting the extras that are provided to make your day even more special.What a venue and what a beautiful weekend we had at this venue. We had our wedding here last September and we couldn't have wished for anything more. Bre, Graham and gang made all our family and friends welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Wedding 28.12.2013
Ever since we stayed at Pentre Mawr in 2009, Amy (the Wife) had wanted to get married there, and on the weekend of 27/12/13, we had the honour of being Bre & Graham’s first Wedding at Pentre Mawr.
From the first contact with Bre in June 2013, nothing was too much trouble, and within two weeks the Wedding was booked for December that year! After numerous phonecalls, emails, and a couple of visits, Bre and Graham made everything so easy and would help in any way possible, from ideas for the ceremony room, to recommending fantastic local wedding suppliers. The help Amy received from Bre was fantastic, as she has many years experience and fantastic insight!
All in all, we had the most amazing Wedding Weekend, we could not have hoped for anything better. If you want a fantastic wedding without stress, worry or hassle, to feel as comfortable as being in your own home and to be treated like part of the family, and to have a few days that you and all of your guests will remember forever, Pentre Mawr Country House is the place to choose.
