Welcome aboard then mrs c. I really liked orsett hall, but just never got to see it fell for the fennes and booked it really quickly whilst it was free and on offer! I used to live in bury st Edmunds flow when I was a wee nipper!

Hi, another Essex girl here I live in Southend and got married at a beautiful house called Porters in Southend, it dates back to the 15th century and used to be the Mayor's residence. ?

We got married at a lovely old church in Shoebury and had the reception at The Roslin Beach in Thorpe Bay which was perfect. I can't recommend it highly enough, the staff were amazing and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the meal was.

We looked at Smeetham hall, cant remember why we dismissed it! maybe avaiability as we wanted something for this summer (got engaged in Feb).

I live on the suffolk/essex border too. Were getting married at Crabbs barn, its just outside Braintree. We looked at Smeetham Hall too, its a lovely place.
