About Wigfair Hall

Cefn Meiriadog, St Asaph
Denbighshire, LL17 0ET

Welcome to Wigfair Hall, a grade II listed building that is a true example of a large Victorian country home with terrace gardens, and is surrounded by its own parkland that leads down to the River Elwy. With uninterrupted views of the fantastic Elwy Valley and the Clwydian Range, Wigfair Hall provides you with a stunning backdrop for one of the most special days of your lives.

The Hall has not been altered over the years, and so keeps its own Victorian serenity and features, making this a very rare find indeed. It has hosted a number of events throughout the years, including accommodating visits from royalty.

A tree lined driveway will guide you to our stunning heraldic entrance. The elegant drawing room, with outstanding views, is one of four licensed rooms that are available for your civil ceremony, and it seats up to 100 guests. It overlooks our wonderfully manicured croquet lawn that accommodates a marquee perfectly. All of this is surrounded by outstanding gardens, that are ideal for those all-important memorable photographs.

Civil ceremony
Venue Service

What a fabulous afternoon we had,and what a find,we wanted a small ceremony with a few friends and family about 20 in total, and more than a registry office,Got married at 2.00 standing round the beautiful fireplace and stairs, had our photos taken on the staircase and in the spectacular gardens and terraces, guests being served champagne and canapés,with beautiful music in the backgrounds.About 4.00 we had afternoon tea served in the dining room with wedding cake, what a relaxed no stress wedding,we left around 6.00,and off to Maldives on honeymoon next day.we could not fault the hospitality and friendliness of the day from the owners, what a fabulous time had by all.Thankyou very much for making our day so special.jon and HelenXX

Stunning property
Venue Service

By Anita Lloyd Jones, on 16 May 2017Date of Wedding - 01 Jun 2007

Wigfair Hall near the village of Cefn where I used to live is a stunning property - when you see the sunset on the beautiful red bricks in the evening the whole Hall has a breathtaking rosy glow. My Son Richard and his then fiancee Lyndsey were married in St. Mary's Cefn ten years ago this June - a small drinks reception for the Grooms family was held before the ceremony which also enabled some of the guests who had travelled some distance to catch their breath and freshen up. The whole thing was a last minute decision and I would say far better for being so. The guests were enchanted to enjoy Champagne on the terrace on a beautifully sunny June morning, One of our guests even started playing the Grand Piano and the who thing was enchanting. When I left the house on the way to the Church - the Groom's car was parked up on the fabulous tree lined driveway - the Best Man had lost the ring! I am pleased to say it was eventually found under a mat in the car. However, - it just added a extra touch to everything and of course was included in the Best Man's Speech! Everything went smoothly and I will never forget walking down the Hall's beautiful staircase having changed into my Mother of the Groom outfit. Annette and Stuart would be proud of you Andrew and Rylla and I know this Venture of yours will be a resounding success."
