A Coastal Wedding Dream

If you are looking for a beautiful wedding by the sea with fantastic views and accommodation on site for all of your friends and family then look no further than the Sandy Cove Hotel. We had the best weekend of our lives, and lucked out with the weather as we were able to get married in February outside (although inside option is just as beautiful) The view from the Sandy Cove Hotel and wedding venue is simply stunning, our guests were all blown away and fell in love with the place. The modern and stylish venue catered happily for all our 130 day guests and allowed for more to come and party into the evening when our band arrived. The food was delicious and the manager on the day made sure everything ran like clockwork, the bar service was excellent and the team worked so hard all night. The whole wedding weekend was simply fantastic as we had most of our guests staying in the hotel so we got a chance to use the pool facilities with the kids in the day and go for beautiful coastal walks. Even breakfast the morning after the wedding was a fabulous event. We cannot rate the Sandy Cove highly enough, it's a must see to go and view as you will be blown away. We live in North Wales and most of our guests travelled for 4/5 hours to get down to the wedding but would do it again in a heartbeat!! It was worth every penny.

When you get married you want everything to be perfect don't you? Wow the Sandy Cove Hotel didn't disappoint from the moment we arrived and had our breath taken away by the stunning views! The friendly atmosphere created by the fantastic staff, the beautiful clean rooms and the food was absolutely amazing from the evening meal on Friday through to breakfast on Sunday we couldn't find fault. The wedding venue has everything we needed all in one beautiful building with fantastic views, our quests watched the food being prepared through the glass wall and boy it didn't disappoint! Our whole weekend was as we dreamed it would be! Thank you Sandy Cove for making our dream come true.

We stayed here from Friday to Sunday and were very impressed with the location of the hotel the views are stunning even in January. The rooms were spacious and clean with a gorgeous view of the coastline. The staff were friendly as we ran out of toiletries and nothing was too much trouble. The food well that was amazing from the a la Carte meal on the Friday to breakfast and the wedding breakfast I enjoyed every meal. The venue for the wedding and reception was gorgeous again with lovely coastal views and loads of picture opportunities. My daughter loves the swimming pool and sauna area for the downtime we had. Just an excellent venue for anybody’s wedding or party

A massive thank you to everyone at The Venue at Sandy Cove, they all made our day amazing and we'd like to say a special thank you to Shaun who couldn't do enough for us. When we saw The Venue for the first time on the 3d glasses at a Wedding show, we knew this was the only venue for us. The view is stunning and the platform from the Gazebo is breathtaking - we've never seen anything like this in this country. The lights in the Venue at night are really amazing as well as all the outdoor areas which are lit up. Food was superb and many of our guests told us this was the best wedding food they had ever had and also the best wedding they had been to. I'm sure this venue will be one of the top ones in the country.
Amazing Day - Fantastic Venue
By Katie & Luke, on 22 Aug 2018Date of Wedding - 11 Aug 2018
The staff at The Venue are incredible, bubbly and friendly, nothing is too much trouble, advising on best drinks (for the groom), cleaning up sick (my daughter was ill after the meal (too much excitement we think!)) & also being so welcoming of my dog. The Venue is fantastic as in it is dog friendly, even for the biggest of dogs. The restaurant manager was very friendly and informative, he knew most people who booked the venue wanted an outdoor ceremony, our day came and it was light showers, he did mention to us that we could still marry outside under the gazebo and just sign the register inside if needs be.
The food was delicious & well presented, every guest commented on how much they enjoyed the meal, all except one. My cousin found a piece of crockery in her soup, I informed the restaurant manager as soon as I was told who said he would talk to the chef, but unfortunately I never heard back. Having said that, we did have to move a guest around last minute & order a children's meal after the ceremony in which the restaurant manager was very helpful with and it wasn't too much trouble at all, we put the soup incident down to just pure accident but I wanted to mention it in my review as I want my review to be as honest as possible.
The evening buffet, it was served at 8pm under hot plates & left out until 12am! My guests loved the fact that there wasn't a time limit to eat in and that they could enjoy some food, dance then go back for more food as & when they wanted & it was still as hot as when it came out.
The Most Perfect Wedding Day!!

Having viewed 2 years prior on a December wet, cold and miserable day we still fell in love with this beautiful hotel and setting. On our wedding day the weather was beautiful, the view from the new Venue is just mind blowing and all our guests were completely overwhelmed by it and spent many quality moments taking in the views. The staff were amazing, attentive, friendly and very professional and put our nerves at ease throughout the whole stay. The food was outstanding and again all guests and us were impressed by the quality and quantity. The New Venue itself is amazing , it’s bright, air conditioned, and plenty of space for a boogie, oh and can’t forget the lighting, colour coordinated to our colour scheme and really sets the mood for the day. Would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for their perfect day.

We were married at a nearby church and held our reception at Sandy Cove and it did not disappoint!
The Venue its self is very contemporary, bright and airy with plenty of room for our guests (we had 100 plus in the evening). It is glass fronted and has the most amazing, stunning views out to sea, it’s just breathtaking.
The staff were all very friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble.
We had the most amazing day!

What an amazing venue, overlooking the gorgeous North Devon coastline, views to die for. We got married on the 1st June 2018 outside with the sea as our backdrop and it was just perfect, all staff were very helpful and attentive, food was delicious and all in all great service. The venue itself is just stunning, plenty of space and although we only had a small amount of guests in the day the space worked well and still had an intimate feel but could easily accommodate a lot more. The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this wedding venue, we had a fabulous day!
The first wedding in the new Venue

We fell in love with Sandy Cove Hotel as soon as we arrived, and even more so after looking around. We just knew that it was perfect for us before we had even finished the tour. Once we had booked the venue we contacted Sandy Cove via email/telephone. Responses were quick and always informative. We did find that there was lack of communication with some things; room allocation changed after we had allocated all of the rooms out to our guests. We also found out they were building the new venue, ourselves. We were a bit disappointed that we weren't made aware of this being built and only stumbled across this online but were reassured that this would be complete ready for our wedding and that we wouldn't arrive to a building site! We were offered the new venue which of course we accepted as the pictures looked beautiful. They then added an additional cost to our final invoice for the privilege of using the new venue (Which had not been mentioned once since offering us the new venue) they did apologise for the miscommunication but is unnecessary stress a month before your wedding (2 days before final payment is due!)
Despite the miscommunication, when we arrived they were still digging but the staff were working very hard to make sure everything was complete for the next day. The staff had been working until 10pm every night to finish the venue for our wedding! It was a close call and emotional rollercoaster but the venue was complete in the nick of time and we cannot thank the team enough! We were totally blown away by all of the hard work from all of the staff, they went above and beyond. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Well what can I say! We got married at Sandy Cove last week after being guests at two weddings there previously, we just knew it was the place for us! The location and hotel is just stunning, rooms were gorgeous, the food was amazing, the staff were absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble (particularly Shaun and Kelly. All of our guests commented on the brilliant time they had and we will be returning! Thanks for giving us the most special few days of our lives.

Had our wedding here early Oct 17. Staff, food, rooms, views all FAB! Our day was amazing and all our guests loved it. Sorry for drinking all the tequila. Would highly recommend this place for a really special sea view wedding. Beautiful.x
