This venue got everything right
My son had his wedding at the St James's club in Manchester City centre. I unfortunately got landed with arranging it, so I am mightily relieved and happy to say that this venue got everything right.Sent on 04/07/2017
The manager,Korhan, did actually mean it when he said that we could do what we wanted. He also helped with some sensible advice.
The Bridgewater suite has its own dining area, dance floor, toilets and bar. The room works brilliantly for a wedding celebration. The suite is full of character and warmth.Having the whole place to yourself is much nicer than being in a bigger place where the room is like a box and you have to share the venue.
The main thing we wanted was fine dining; and that is what we got. We even had a choice of one of 3 menus or putting together a bespoke menu ourselves. Each menu was for a different price point. It was also wonderful that guests did not have to eat the same meal, because each menu had a choice of 3 starters,3 mains and 3 puddings. The food was beautiful on the day.
The venue even sourced a red wine that we wanted ,that was not on their wine list.
The bar was reasonably priced too, which is a novelty at weddings.
