An Amazing Wedding
By katrina loftus, on 02 Aug 2014
On the 24th July 2014 we celebrated our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at the Saddleworth Hotel. Although we had high expectations of the day - they were exceeded! Everything from start [Anthony and his wife picking us up in their fabulous cars] to finish [the wonderful breakfast the next morning] was exceptional. Anthony, Jake and the staff could not be faulted - nothing was too much trouble for them and they made sure everything we wanted or needed was provided, this not only on the day itself but right from the moment we booked. We were encouraged to bring anyone we liked to visit the hotel and just 'drop by whenever'. We had a joyous day and our guests commented on the excellent food, service, accommodation, entertainment and of course the most stunning venue overlooking the glorious surrounding countryside. We could not have wished more for our daughter and her now husband and would recommend this to anyone as a fantastic wedding venue. Katrina and Brendan
Amazing Wedding Venue & Incredible Food
By Tom Hadfield, on 17 Aug 2011
We recently just got married at the Saddleworth (July 2011), and it was the most perfect day, made so by the incredible surroundings that the hotel is located in (we managed to get married outside!), the very attentive staff who took care of every detail, the amazing food, and the very plush rooms.
Anthony & the team made everything run so smoothly - there were plenty of people on hand, and everyone was kept really well fed and watered. The contained location meant our kids were able to wander around without any fear, leaving us free to mingle with guests.
The food is very very special - not what you'd expect from a wedding! We also had some fireworks arranged by the hotel, which were breathtaking, and the owner even picked my wife up from Bury in his Convertible Rolls Royce to bring her to the ceremony! She loved it!
Every single guest has commented what an amazing day it was, and what a beautiful hotel it is. I'm so glad we decided to get married at the Saddleworth Hotel, not just because our day was brilliant, but also because we have somewhere to go back to year after year that we love, and I'm sure we'll be nipping back regularly for the gourmet food.
If you're from Manchester or Leeds and are looking to get married in a special location, you really should take a look at The Saddleworth Hotel - it will blow you away!
A wonderful day

Our daughter was married athe Saddleworth Hotel on 23rd August 2008. it was a wonderful day, the sun was shining so the ceremony took place outside in the beautiful gardens followed by canopes on the terrace whilst the photos were being taken. The reception was perfect with excellent food and service with a warm atmosphere. The fireworks were set to music and were fantastic. All of the staff are friendly. helpful, and very profesional. So on behalf of Jayne, Chris, and ourselves we would like to say thank you to you all for making our day so special it was perfect from start to finish and we highly reccomend your hotel.

Our daughter was married at this hotel on the 11th November 2007 and it was a fantastic occasion. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The food was wonderful and our guests particularly appreciated the bacon sandwiches in the evening! Although the weather was awful, the rain went off for long enough for everyone to enjoy the excellent fireworks display in the evening. Many of our guests had travelled a long way, but all said it was worth the trip. Worth every penny!
Fantastic day at a Fantastic venue
By Mr and Mrs Gilmore, on 17 Sep 2007
We had already viewed several venues before choosing the Saddleworth Hotel. As for myself and Darren, this hotel was in a league of its own. Anthony and Sadi showed us around the hotel and we were made to feel right at home by their freindly relaxed manner, in which they were happy to answer any questions you may have. As soon as we saw the grounds at the Saddleworth we were blown away and the attention to detail in the hotel is outstanding. The reception room for your day is set out to such a high standard and you can add your own special touches. The staff were brilliant, on hand to guide you throughout the day whilst being very discreet. The food is in a class of its own and you can definitely tell that it is local, fresh produce with amazing presentation. The evening reception room in the new extention makes you feel like you are in a select wine bar. The feedback that we have recieved from our guests have been brilliant. To anyone thinking of booking the Saddleworth, i would say, leave your day in the hands of those at the Saddleworth, they know what they are doing, and have your best interests at heart. Thank you for the best day of our lives to all the staff at the Saddleworth Hotel.

We had pretty much decided where we were getting married but just wanted to look at a few more venues before booking. We turned up unannounced at The Saddleworth Hotel and Anthony spent about an hour and half showing us round and answering all our questions. As soon as we went outside and saw the fabulous grounds we'd decided we were definetley getting married here. They are so professional and know the wedding business so well and take the time to listen to you and answer all your questions that i knew i wouldn't have to worry about any aspect of the day that they had control over. The day was fantastic, we got married outside which was amazing and everything ran perfectly. All our guests have said what an amazing place it was and the service and staff were great. We had the bacon butties instead of the evening buffet and they went down really well. I would recommend this place to anybody, eveything about it is great and it made an already special day even more special.

We held our reception at this venue on the 28th July 2007- we cannot praise the service and setting highly enough. Prior to the wedding we visited the hotel a number of times to discuss plans and on each occasion we were afforded lots of time with the staff and made to feel really welcome. In terms of the day itself, so many of our guests have commented on the beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere. The photo opportunities at the hotel and in the grounds are fantastic and will provide great memories of our special day. Anthony and Scott's organisation throughout the entire reception was seamless and discreet, allowing all of the bridal party to just relax and mix with guests. The quality and presentation of both the meal and buffet was excellent, another aspect of the day our guests have commented on. Overall, we would throughly recommend this venue and look forward to having other family occasions there!
Excellent decor, service and value

Anthony, Sandi & Scott ensured that our son's wedding day was memorable. Service was excellent throughout. Venue is of a high standard, receiving good reviews without exception from our guests. Our Belarussian guests were knocked out with the facilities - A great place - A gem of understated luxury

We got married here on the 16th June 07 and I cannot speak highly enough of the venue, staff and owners. In the couple of years before the wedding Anthony and Scott were fantastic, we turned up out of the blue on many occasion and they always sat down with us and made us feel welcome often spending hours discussing things with us. The day itself was perfect, everything ran like clockwork and all the staff were thoroughly professional. The food was outstanding, both in the day and at night and I really cannot find a fault with anything. I have been to weddings in all of the other popular local venues White Hart, Norton Grange, The Avant etc but this place wipes the floor with the lot of them. If you want a perfect wedding then book it here. I would also advise employing Alan Calow as the toastmaster to make the day extra special and top the night off with the fireworks, they are worth every penny.
The most memorable and amazing day possible
By Lorna and John Smithers, on 14 May 2007
we couldn''t have asked for a better wedding venue than The Saddleworth Hotel. We had so much help from Scott,Anthony and Sandy they were amazing and really helped make the day so special. The food is fantastic as were the reception drinks and canapes which all our guests commented on. Unfortuantely it rained on our wedding day and we had to get married inside, but that didn''t matter at all as they lit the ceremony room with candles and it looked so romantic and intimate. All of the guest bedrooms are decorated and furnished to the highest standard and are well worth the money. The bridal suite is fantastic with its own sitting room, the bed is so big and comfortable we wanted to take it home with us!! The evening reception went really well and the new function suite is wonderful with a lovely balcony with leather suites to sit on. it is definately worth going for the silver service option where they serve bacon or cheese paninis all the guests commented on how good an idea this was. Although we didn''t really get much use from them due to the weather the grounds are beautiful and you can get married outside under a sandstone gazebo. The day was magical and will be remembered forever.
