Welcome to your wedding at the Moonraker Hotel, formally the Old Manor Hotel, a grade two listed Manor house located just 15 minutes from the City of Bath. Purchased by Tudor & Lucy Hopkins (July 2013) who have transformed the hotel into a rustic Farmhouse Hotel specialising in vintage style weddings.
Mentioned in the Domesday Book as being part of the Abbess of Glastonbury’s estate, the present Manor House was originally built in classic Queen Anne style. There is plenty of old world charm with oak doors, low ceilings, fireplaces and impressive reception rooms.
The hotel sits on 4 acres of land with its own Beehives, Chickens, Pigs and Kitchen Garden.
Food is at the centre of the wedding offer with our experienced team of Chef's using many of the ingredients grown at the hotel. The wedding breakfast is served on sharing platters down the centre of the tables to create a sociable and relaxed atmosphere.
The wooden beamed Milking Parlour can accommodate up to 120 guests for a ceremony and is also the late night party room, with its own dedicated bar and dance area for up to 150 guests.
There are 23 en-suite bedrooms located both in the Manor house and within the hotel grounds.
Our rustic Geenhouse Marquee can hold up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast. We have handmade wooden trestle tables, paired with lime washed Chiavari chairs to complete the rustic, vintage style.
In the evening, fire pits are lit and guests can relax in a number of different areas including our Drawing Room, Terrace and Manor Lawn.

Perfect Wedding Venue!!
We would like to say a massive thank you to all of the staff at Moonraker for giving us a perfect wedding day!. The venue is beautiful and we instantly knew it was the venue for us with its rustic, vintage feel and beautiful gardens! I think every one of our guests complimented the venue and there were hundreds of pictures taken by the wisteria which was in full bloom,Sent on 06/06/2019
Mira, Mitch and the rest of the team were amazing on the day, they were so attentive and ensured that everything ran smoothly, we didn't have to do a thing! The food was delicious and catered for all dietary requirements. It was great having exclusivity of the hotel and our family and friends stayed over which was lovely in the morning having a leisurely breakfast with everyone. We looked at a lot of wedding venues in the area and Moonraker has been excellent value for money. We would have no hesitation in recommending Moonraker they gave us our perfect wedding day and we are looking forward to visiting again soon!!
The Moonraker's reply:Dear Emma and Chris,
A hotel with a heart
It was love at first sight for The Moonraker Hotel, and as soon as we stepped through the doors we knew it was the wedding venue for us. Stacey and her team did a wonderful job at understanding our needs and going out of their way to meet them.Sent on 13/06/2015
We have enjoyed watching the hotel develop its own personality under its new ownership in the lead up to our wedding, which only added to the excitement.
The hotel was completely 'us' in every way, from the eco-conscious mentality and delicious menus, to the vintage fittings, picturesque surroundings and quintessentially English aesthetics. We loved the tiny details, such as the kitchen garden, smoke-house and bee hives.
The day itself was exactly as we had envisaged it, and the staff were extremely attentive throughout. We felt like royalty, and didn't need to worry about a single thing! We realised more and more that we had chosen the perfect venue for us.
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, the second night we had exclusivity and only our guests stayed over. It was a wonderful experience, waking up the next day and enjoying a leisurely breakfast with our friends and family.
Special thanks to Matthew and his kitchen staff for all the DELICIOUS food. As two big foodies, the wedding feast was always going to be a very important part of the day, and in fact it exceeded our expectations.
We take away so many special memories of the Moonraker, and hope to revisit again and again to see how it develops.

I cant begin to imagine what went on behind the scenes but we are most grateful!
I don't know where to start with names but in particular Stacey, Ryan and Claudia, along with all the other on hand staff!
Matthew and all the kitchen staff excelled themselves with the food, there were a lot of compliments.
I have no hesitation in recommending The Old Manor in the future and am happy to leave reviews where necessary.
Our Kindest regards
Vicki & Steve
