Could not have asked for better!
Venue Service

By Kate Chivers, on 24 May 2018Date of Wedding - 31 Mar 2018

We had our wedding on the 31st March 2018. We booked the venue back in 2016 after we got engaged. Helen and her team could not have done more to help us make our day more special. We had a bespoke service as the packages did not suit our needs and Helen was more than happy to help tailor make our day to make it perfect. The room was set up beautifully for our ceremony and the turn around for the wedding breakfast and the reception was seamless. We could not have asked for a better team or venue for our wedding. Helen and her team made sure everything ran smoothly and made sure we and guests enjoyed the day. If I could give more than 5*s I would. Thank you so much!

Wedding of the year
Venue Service

By Tracy Dennison, on 19 Mar 2018Date of Wedding - 17 Mar 2018

Myself and my now wife we’re married on 17th March 2018 and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Helen the main organiser made the whole event stress free and so easy to organise. The venue was easy to find and even though we had guests coming from miles away they stayed at the Travel Lodge 300 metres away and there’s plenty of parking nearby. We actually looked forward in going to the venue to confirm details as we were made so welcome and we felt like old friends. When the day eventually arrived to mark the day 10/10 is far too low as it was more than perfect. The venue dresser was done by Zen who dressed the Minden Suite beyond our wildest dreams and Wendy the caterer made the food so good I would have given her a Michelin star!!! All my guests stated it was the best wedding they have ever attended. So if you want a wedding that your never going to forget then look into the Fusilier Museum cause you will not be disappointed

4th November 2018
Venue Service

By Rebecca Armstead, on 16 Feb 2018Date of Wedding - 04 Nov 2017

We knew from the first visit that this was the venue for us, we were looking for a wedding reception that didn't fit the usual package format. From day one Helen and Wendy helped us create our perfect wedding reception. The service in the run up and and on the day itself was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Our guests all commented on how much they loved the venue. A massive bonus was having access to the venue the day before to dress the room. Also Helen and the team were happy to deal with the band and florist over directions and timings etc. I can't rate them highly enough.

Amazing beyond our expectations
Venue Service

By Michelle & Dean Stansfield, on 30 Dec 2017Date of Wedding - 28 Oct 2017

We knew from photos online this was where we wanted our reception to be (We did want our ceremony here but the registrar wasn't available) so we compromised, married at the town hall and the guests had a 2 minute walk to the museum. From the first meeting everything was brilliant, nothing too much trouble, all requests were accommodated, very flexible regarding arrangements. Food at our taster with Wendy surpassed our expectations. It was all beautiful and made me even more confident for our big day. In the run up to the wedding day Helen was brilliant with last minute changes and the team had already started on the basics of our room the day before the wedding which we then decorated ourselves. Helen gave me excellent advice which was to go for tall table centre pieces as the room was so high, it was excellent advice. On the day Helen, Wendy and all the catering and bar staff and front of house staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to ensure the day ran smoothly. Drinks in the Gallipoli room was amazing ahead of an amazing meal and reception in the Minden Suite accompanied by brilliant unobtrusive service. Turnaround between afternoon and evening was perfect. Every small detail was overseen by Helen including cutting the cake with the ceremonial sword and poppy collection boxes that we had asked for. Afterwards everyone was still so helpful when we collected our things. We cannot recommend this hidden gem in Bury enough, our photos on the staircase in front of the stained glass windows were amazing and the lantern lit stair case made for a magical evening reception entrance) Please go and visit you will not be disappointed

Beautiful venue, amazing staff and delicious food!
Venue Service

We had our wedding reception at the Fusilier a week ago. We worked with Helen and Wendy for months to choose our afternoon tea and evening buffet selection, as well as arranging tables and drinks etc. They were amazing throughout and accommodated my coeliac disease in a way that made it stress free! The Minden Suite is beautiful, like a blank canvas and Helen did her best helping me set up the decorations and even adding additional bunting to give it something extra. Even between the rooms, the hallways were beautiful, we had a lot of photos infront of the stained glass windows and they came out amazing. Everyone at the wedding commented on how beautiful the venue was and raved about the food. Wendy and her team did an amazing job getting together everything for the afternoon tea and many guests went up for seconds for the evening buffet. It was incredible. I would highly recommend anyone to have their reception at the Fusilier, it has a very special place in our hearts now. To everyone at the Fusilier: Thank you so much! You have no idea how much we appreciate everything you did to make our day special and stress free!

April wedding
Venue Service

By Janet Morgan, on 15 May 2017Date of Wedding - 02 Apr 2017

We booked our wedding for 2nd April 2017 and cannot thank Helen Davenport and her staff enough for making our wedding day one of the best day's of my life. The venue itself was amazing and all our guests were pleasantly surprised how wonderful it was. From entering this beautiful venue up the stoned, red carpeted stairs, to being allowed access to the museum, Quarter Master Store and the Minden suite, our guests were overwhelmed with the place. Polly from hello@zenvenuedressing.com made an absolutely stunning job of decorating the venue. Coming in through the entrance to the ceremony room, to the table settings. Everyone commented on how beautiful it all looked. Wendy and her team from Delicious, all based at the Fusiliers gave us a fabulous afternoon of feasts. The bacon butties in the evening went down well too! Then we had an absolutely amazing DJ. Tom Finkill. If you ever want a DJ that gets everyone up dancing from start to finish you need to get Tom. What a fabulous job he did. Our guests were all amazed how fabulous the Fusiliers was. They just could not believe what a great place it was. Helen guided us through the day with ease. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone. If you were to ask any of our guests they would also say this too. BIG. BIG thank you for a fantastic day. PS the registrars from Bury Registry office played a great part too. Thank you Haydn and Yvonne.

Summer Wedding
Venue Service

By Victoria, on 27 Sep 2016Date of Wedding - 30 Jul 2016

We got married here end of July. We chose this venue as wE wanted somewhere different, yet still local to where we both lived and grew up. Neither myself nor my husband really knew about this place until it was recommended to me by a family member who had had a work conference here.. we were both amazed by how beautiful it was when we first visited, lots of original features and character that would add to our day and make some beautiful pictures. The interior staircase is what really drew us in with the newly installed stained glass windows, we knew this was for us. We held the full day here, service , wedding breakfast and evening reception. The food was supplied and served by the onsite Co. 'Delicious', who I cannot recommend enough..
