We fell in love with the facilities at The Fleece from the very first time that we visited, just short of two years before our wedding in July 2023.
Carrie-Anne and the entire staff at The Fleece were absolutely brilliant throughout. They came to our rescue on more than one occasion when other plans went awry, ensuring our special day was indeed extremely special.
If your looking for a venue that has wonderful views, a relaxed atmosphere combined with unbelievably professional service and fabulous food, then we cannot recommend The Fleece enough.
Extremely special memories were made, not just for us, but for all our guests who said it was the best wedding they’d been to.

We got married on the 2/12/23 and from day one the Fleece have been amazing. From our first meeting we felt so at ease and could ask anything. And on the day they gave us the most beautiful day. All our guests loved the food and the decor. They loved how friendly and approachable the staff were. I could not recommend this venue enough. Nothing was too much and the whole day was unforgettable!

We got married at The Fleece back in August 2023 and we couldn't say a single fault. This was our only venue we went to view in person and we booked our date on the day. From that open day, to our first meeting, to the menu tasting and until the big day, everything ran so smooth. We couldnt reconmend the fleece enough, the food was amazing, the plan of the day waa perfect and the views and weather were just an added bonus. It won't be the last time Carrie and the team will see us, as it's also become one of "our places" for date nights ❤️

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The day itself was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and the communication on the day was great. We are so happy we chose this beautiful venue and would definitely recommend it! Fantastic countryside side venue. Staff were helpful friendly and would do anything to make your day special. I can't thank them enough Carrie-Anne the coordinator was always thire to help and kept in touch through the build up to our special day.

When we decided to pull the plug on our destination wedding 8 weeks before the wedding date due to COVID, we were on a mission to find a UK wedding venue in time. The Fleece was perfect - a beautiful and intimate venue with the most incredible views! Carrie-Anne and the team helped us to re-plan our wedding in just 8 weeks and I can honestly say we have no regrets. We had the most amazing wedding day which was everything we dreamed it would be. The food was unbelievable, it was amazing value for money and the setting made for the most beautiful photos. Thank you so much The Fleece!

What a day we all had, amazing day from start to finish!
We finally got married at The Fleece almost 3 years after booking due to switching dates because of Covid, and it was well worth the wait.
During the planning process Carrie-Anne couldn’t do enough for us, any questions we had were always answered really quickly, nothing was ever too much.
On the days itself everything went so smoothly, the food was fab and the venue looked stunning, we were amazed when we first walked in, it was everything we had hoped it would be and more. All our guests commented on what a perfect venue The Fleece was, the staff were so attentive and professional.

From start to finish, I could write a book about how wonderful our wedding day was at the Fleece! I wish we could do it all over again Can't recommend enough!
Despite covid causing a postponement, Carrie-Anne was so kind and understanding, communication was brilliant before during and after, she was there for us every step of the way, to the finest of details being planned to finally getting us down the aisle and to have the day we had waited so long for.
The staff on the day was wonderful, they made sure we was okay at all times, had a drink to hand, kept us in the loop, running as smooth as possible and was just so lovely, complimentary, attentive and professional! Our personal card touch in the bedroom was a nice surprise and came home with us as keepsake (thank you)
Our guests all had a wonderful time and could see why we both fell in love with the place! From the amazing views (the big talking point), decor, service, food, rooms, everything! We was lucky the weather stayed dry and we made full use of our private terrace in the evening for photos, mingling and dancing, it was honestly perfect we couldn't of asked for more! The whole day was full of smiles and laughter all round (and tears), honestly thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who was there.
We are so thankful to everyone at the Fleece for making our wedding the best day of our lives, we are eternally grateful and so pleased we got to share our special day at our special place with wonderful people! We can't wait to come back again!
(we had a number of drives up and visits for cocktails, restraunt food, terrace food and drinks, plus meetings on the lead up to our wedding and we was never disappointed) we will be booking an overnight stay for our anniversary that's for sure :)

We recently had an intimate wedding ceremony on the 2nd January 2021. We had originally planned for a 60-80 person wedding, but we are beyond happy that we decided to go ahead with our day on the date we booked 20 months prior. It was more special than we could have imagined and we even got snow. The Fleece have supported us thoughout the highs and lows of the Covid situation, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The journey to the day was such a roller coaster but Carrie-Anne managed to get us excited again after each blow.

If anybody is worried about having a smaller ceremony with face coverings, just go for it if you want a special day all about you and your partner. It was the most magical and unique day, and the Fleece did everything they could to make it that way. After all, ‘all you need is love’. We had our wedding here in December 2021 - it should have been in December 2020 but had to be delayed.....
Through the upheaval of having to change everything Carrie-Anne and the team at The Fleece were amazing.
Nothing was too much trouble, all questioned answered :-)

Our eventual Wedding Day was amazing - very foggy but amazing. The whole team supported us both throughout the day and evening to make sure everything went as planned and everyone had an amazing time.

The food is phenomenal - we eat here once a month but the kitchen outdid themselves serving 70 people at once with gorgeous hot food, and the wait staff kept the food coming and kept the wine glasses topped up.

The views are stunning and really make for beautiful wedding photos as does the venue - inside and out.

The wedding planners at the fleece inn were extremely kind and very organised. Everything went to time and plan. The staff were very friendly and made our day feel very special. Extra requests were not an issue, every question we asked the fleece inn had a solution or idea.

The view at the back of the venue really blew us away and made our day so special.

The food was delicious and catered well for all dietary requirements.

The bridal suite and breakfast the next day was spot on, we had the whole of one side of the restaurant to ourselves. Highly recommended this place to get married!

The value for money is spectacular, we had our wedding in peak summer time with 80 day guests and 120 evening guests for the price of £6500 including food.

Myself and my husband had the wedding of our dreams at the fleece on the 16th June 2023.

After many venue visits we instantly fell in love with the fleece and its picturesque location. We knew we wanted a venue in the countryside with accommodation for our guests, the fleece ticked all of our boxes whilst being easy accessible for all. The entire process of planning our big day was made stress free by Carrie-Anne and her team- we had regular catch up emails and visits to the fleece to ensure we were on track with planning our perfect day!

The venue itself is gorgeous! The view from the terrace is amazing- we were blessed with the weather and enjoyed canapés and drinks outside after the ceremony and also spent time outside with our guests in the evening.

The day itself was seamless we didn’t have to worry about a thing- we had two events coordinators one for the day and one for the evening, they ensured that everything on the day was perfect and to time.

We went for the summer wedding package, we loved that the package included everything so there was no hidden extras (unless you have any special requests). The food was outstanding and we received so many compliments from our guests.

Thank you so much to everybody at the fleece, we are now looking forward to returning for our anniversary stay!

From the start of our planning back in April 2021 we knew The Fleece was going to be the one. The venue itself was everything that we hoped for our special day. Carrie-Anne our event co-ordinator has been nothing but amazing from start to finish. Always there to answer any questions immediately and so accommodating to our needs and wishes on our special day. The venue staff on the day were amazing with all our guests and always had a smile on their faces. We had many comments from our guests on how amazing the day was! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

From the start of our wedding planning process to the day itself, the Fleece made everything so easy for us. The team is incredible , not just on the day but also in the planning stages, always on hand to answer any questions or deal with any queries. They were amazing at ensuring our day ran smoothly and just how we envisioned it and they were super chatty, helpful and friendly which alleviated a lot of nerves for myself and my husband. Special shout outs to Carrie-Ann, Lucy, Laura and Ethan! The food received many compliments from guests and attention to detail by the whole team was second to none. The DJ provided by the Fleece was also great and managed to keep our guests happy and dancing all evening. Nothing was too much trouble for The Fleece, even bringing our 3 pooches!

We are so so happy that we decided to have our special day at the fleece we could not have asked for anymore-the views, Christmas decor, staff, food and atmosphere really made our day everything that we could have ever wished for.
