I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the Evenload team for giving us the best anniversary party we could ever have asked for. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

The service was fantastic, the staff were so kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone’s still talking about it! The space itself was wonderful and created such a warm, celebratory atmosphere.

We’re so grateful for all the help in the lead-up and on the day itself. Hollie and the whole team made everything run so smoothly. It truly felt effortless on our end, which made it even more enjoyable. Hollie is all such an asset, and we’ll be recommending the Evenload to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.

Our family and friends were all full of compliments about the venue, food & team. They couldn’t stop saying how fantastic everything.

It was perfect to celebrate with all our loved ones. There are seven rooms so it meant family can stay and enjoy until late.

We held our wedding in the marquee, it was absolutely wonderful, the staff were very professional, the food was amazing, the whole experience really made the day, we can't thank Hollie, Luke and the team enough.

We got married at The Evenlode in June and couldn’t be happier with our decision! The location, the people, the vibe, and the food were all top-notch, so we wanted to share this review for anyone considering this venue for their celebration.

We started planning our wedding just 8 months before the date, making it a relatively short time frame to organize everything. We looked at a few options in the Oxfordshire area and around the Cotswolds but quickly found that The Evenlode had the best balance of location, convenience and accessibility. The venue is located in the charming village of Eynsham, just a short drive from Oxford city center and conveniently close to the A40 highway. A major advantage of the location was the free and ample parking, ensuring our guests had no trouble finding the venue or parking easily.

The venue itself is a quintessential English pub, offering a warm, home-like atmosphere in the bar and restaurant areas. We always wanted our wedding to feel intimate, close, and personal, and this was the perfect venue for that. The outdoor space is beautiful, featuring lush green lawns, and the tent/marquee was spacious, attractive, and incredibly helpful in making our wedding ‘weatherproof’. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were well-maintained, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully organized.

We had a multicultural wedding, planned from the US, with many guests flying into England for our Indian and American-style ceremonies. This meant we needed our venue to be able to accommodate some very different styles of setups over a period of 2 and a half days. Our first evening was a rehearsal dinner in the marquee which kicked off the festivities. The next day was a western style wedding in the afternoon followed by a mehendi / henna ceremony in the evening. The final day was the Indian wedding ceremony and a reception dinner. For each of the five distinct events, we had different menus, seating arrangements, and locations, but the venue managed it all seamlessly! We spent most of our time between the marquee, bar area, patio, and dining spaces, and all setups and transitions were handled flawlessly. We booked the entire venue for two full days, which I highly recommend! It’s absolutely worth it to have the space filled exclusively with your closest friends and family.

The staff were all AMAZING. Special shout out to Hollie Burton—an outstanding coordinator, brainstorming partner, party planner, part-time therapist, and above all, a friend who offered unwavering support and guidance throughout the planning process! She was responsive, reliable, and incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding, and an absolute operations maestro on the wedding days! She gave us recommendations for other vendors, helped collect packages from Amazon, and coordinated the room reservations for guests. She managed all these discussions and decisions with us through recurring Zoom meetings, which were extremely helpful! Hollie also assisted extensively with draping the wedding arch and mandap/canopy exactly as we envisioned, ensuring everything looked stunning! The rest of the staff were equally helpful, friendly, and warm hosts to all our guests. After the wedding, many guests expressed how much they appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality from The Evenlode’s staff.

Most of our catering for the different events was done by The Evenlode - best decision ever. It was not only logistically convenient but also absolutely top-notch in quality and presentation! The canapés disappeared quickly, the drinks flowed freely, the buffet offered great variety, and our sit-down dinner was delicious! For one event, we also brought in an external vendor offering Indian street food, and The Evenlode team was incredibly accommodating, providing space, tables, warm water, and electricity connections. The bar was professionally managed, and they helped us control expenses by setting a tab max. Although we didn’t use this option, they also offered to source specific drinks or brands that weren’t typically stocked.

Throughout planning, The Evenlode was transparent and flexible regarding pricing. They offered a good variety of packages, giving us plenty of flexibility to customize the menu. The pricing was competitive, and importantly, we never felt nickel-and-dimed or taken advantage of. All cost discussions were clear and transparent, which was especially reassuring since we planned this wedding from abroad.

This venue is really well suited for all kinds of celebrations / weddings but especially for someone who wants their wedding to be intimate, elegant, refined and subtle, but in an understated and modest way. We wanted our wedding to feel like a backyard gathering—not flashy, loud, or over-the-top—and this venue helped us achieve exactly that.

The Evenlode hosted a truly fantastic wedding reception for us on 05/07/25. Everything ran very smoothly, the food was incredible, and the price of the package very very reasonable. In the run up we coordinated with Hollie, the Events Manager, who was responsive, flexible, and had great ideas too. We cannot recommend this venue enough, and had such an incredible time. If you're getting married in the Oxford area, definitely check it out.

We had our wedding with Andrew, Hollie & the team last weekend! It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Everything we asked for they accommodated. The food was beautiful. They had plenty of staff, so no ques at the bar and tables cleared in a timely manner. We have had nothing but complements about the full day. We would highly recommend for any future couples looking for a wedding venue.
